Chapter 16.

The crack of thunder woke me up. Inwardly groaning I pulled myself out of bed and went to look out the window. It was pouring down rain, and windy. The kind of day to stay in bed and sleep. But no I had to go to school. Ugh

I went to my bathroom and began showering. I washed my hair, and body before getting out. I put on my under garments and went to my closet. I put on my 'normal people scare me' jumper with a white pair of ripped skinny jeans as well as my white converse. I did two braids in my hair and went down stairs to get some breakfast.

"Good morning" I said to my mom as I took a seat at one of the bar stools

"Morning sweetie" she beamed handing me a bowl of cereal. "I'm going on a business trip for three nights, and your dad will be joining me. I'm leaving today" she said trying to sound sorry.

"Oh okay" was all I said before shovelling cereal in my mouth

"I really am sorry sweetie. Anyway no parties, and make sure if you guys drive anywhere your careful the roads will be slippery and the rain is going to last a while." She said turning to do the dishes.

All I mumbled was a 'mhm' before proceeding to eat.

"T we gotta go" Ryan said rushing into the kitchen and grabbing an apple.

"Bye mom love you" Ryan and I both yelled in unison before going to the car.

When we arrived at school I went straight to my locker where both Ruby and Aaron were.

"Heyy" the both chanted in unison

"Ayeeee" I beamed to them

They both gave me weird looks.

"So Aaron we find out if we are in the extended extended English class today, do you think you'll get in?" I said scanning the hall way.

"Probably not, but you definitely will" he said raising an eyebrow

"Ew I don't want to though I want to be with you" I pouted Just as Jack strolled over.

"Hey" we all said in unison

"Hey" he replied un-thrilled. He's such a downer, there goes my good mood guess.

Rolling my eyes, I turned to my locker. Putting in my code and getting out my English book.

"I'm going to get to class early I will see yous at lunch" I said walking away from the cluster of people. My trip was cut short though when Jack called for me.

"Tiahni! Wait" he yelled down the hallway. This is embarrassing. Right near Ryans friends too, at least Ryan wasn't there. I stopped and turned around as He ran to jogged up to me.

"We need to talk" he said stopping in front of me. I moved out of the Middle of the hallway so that people could still pass, Jack followed.

After a minute of no talking I spoke "okay so talk"

"Why are you acting so hostile towards me?" His emotion was unreadable.

"Oh idk maybe because you think I flirt with any guy I have a nice conversation with?" I said blankly. That wasn't really the reason, kind of. It was more the fact that he was always mad at me for something. And he was always uninterested in our conversations.

"I don't think you flirt I know you do" he said matter of factly.

"Okay cool. What do you want me to do only talk to you and Ruby?" I said beginning to get frustrated

"No. I want you to stop being such a flirt all the time" . I widened my eyes at him as if to say 'your joking' we've been going out for what two weeks and he's already like that "oh and stop blowing me off for your brothers friends"
