Chapter 20.

I was now on my way to Justin's house for tutoring, nothing exciting happened today. Jack is mad at me as usual, he didn't say anything to me all day and me and Ruby didn't even sit with them at lunch times.

I went home to go get the textbooks because I didn't want to carry them to school so Ryan was now driving me there.

"Can you get mom to call me at like 5??" I said as we pulled up to Justin's

" why Justin's driving you home"

"Why??" I said confused

"Because him Lewis and chaz are coming to ours for dinner"

"Ohh okay well I'll see you later" I said as I shut the door.

I slowly approached Justin's door and knocked had three times

After a minute or two Pattie came to the door..

"Hey Tiahni! Justin's in his room" she said smiling brightly at me, and stepping aside to let me in

"Hey thanks" I said returning the smile before sliding off my vans and going up the stairs to Justin's room.

I did the same knocking pattern on Justin's door "come in" he yelled from the other side. "Hey" he said as I emerged inside

"Hello" I replied dropping my heavy bag on the floor.

For the first 20 or so minutes we were just sat on our phones making small talk. I was scrolling g through the never ending posts on tumblr when my phone started vibrating in my hand, Aaron's name came up so I instantly hit answer. The conversation was short and sweet, he was just inviting me over to his to hang out with him ruby and jack once I had finished tutoring Justin. I kindly declined though saying I had to have dinner with the fam.

"I noticed you weren't sitting with lover boy today" Justin said as I hung up the phone

"How observant" I rolled my eyes, then got out one of the maths textbooks.

"Trouble in paradise?" He said while taking the text book from my hands

"Just do the work Justin" I sighed

This is all Mr Mac's fault, if he didn't hate me and make me do this stupid tutoring I wouldn't be hanging out with Justin therefore what ever is going on between us wouldn't be going on.

"Can you come help me?" Justin said awakening me from my daydream

Sighing I stood up and went over to his bed, after explaining what to do I sat in front of him and watched as he struggled to do the equations I set for him.

On the way home we had to stop to pick up Lewis and Chaz.
"Why are you's all coming to dinner?" I questioned as I looked at Lewis and Chaz in the rear view mirror

"Because your mom invited us" Chaz shrugged

Mumbling an 'okay' I looked back at the road.

The rest of the drive consisted of them talking about stupid stuff.

"Hey boys" my mom said as they all walked inside.

Oh hey mom nice to see you too I thought as I walked in behind them shutting the door after me.

"Dinner should be ready in 10" she said before turning to go back to the kitchen, I decided to just sit in the lounge room with Ryan and co.

I sat on the floor and took out my phone, I had only gotten a message from Ruby asking what homework we had for some subject I wasn't even in.

Finally mom called us to the dinner table, I sat next to Ryan and across from Lewis.

Everyone was having there own conversations, mom, dad, Lewis and Chaz about how football is going. Although my dad would rather Ryan be some academic genius he always acts like he supports his football and mom just loves that she has something to brag about to other moms. Ryan and Justin were talking about something Tynan did which resulted in them all fighting and I was sat there just eating my dinner contently.

"Oh Tiahni, Jack came by looking for you this afternoon" mom said

Finishing my mouthful I said " did he say what he wanted?"

"No he just said he wanted to talk" she said shrugging and putting another forkful of food in her mouth

"Okay, did you tell him where I was?" I said because I feel like he might be mad that I was tutoring Justin at his house, after he got really defensive about me hanging out with guys he said he wanted me to tutor Justin at my house because Ryan or someone would always be there.

"No I just said you were out"

"Alrighty" was all I said before she went back to her conversation. I looked at Justin who was giving me a kind of weird look as if to say 'would it matter where you were'.
Looking back down I tried to go on my phone subtly to message him

To: Jack 😊

Hey mom just told me that you dropped by, sorry I wasnt home xx

Just as he replied  me dad spoke "Tiahni! You know no phones at the dinner table when we have guests" he said eyeing towards my phone that was now sitting next to my plate

"They're hardly guests" I said flipping it over so the screen was facing onto the table as I noticed both Justin and Lewis were trying to read my messages.

He just eyed me, which he usually does when i say or do something I shouldn't. Rolling my eyes I went back to eating, when he was concentrating back on the conversation he was now having with Chaz and Ryan I checked the message.

From: Jack 😊

Hey I was just coming 2 see if u wanted 2 hang outxxx

Cringing at his text talk I replied with a sorry and put my phone back down, screen facing the wood.

After everyone had finished dinner I helped my mom clean up, Ryan's friends offered to but my mom said no much to my disapproval. They all just went and watched tv but my dad went to bed, as did my mom once we had finished cleaning up. Getting a bowl of icecream I went to my room.

After I had finished all my homework I brushed my teeth and then went to sleep.'
