CHAPTER 10

~~~~~~~~next day~~~~~~~~chris's pov~~~~~~~~~

i deiced not to go to school. i was still staying with emily in the hospital. they brought a bed for me to stay in while they took care of her so just slept at the hotel with her. the doctors said that she will have memory lost from when she blacked out, but it wont be much. "are you looking after her?" a young girl said as she walked closer to me. i saw that it was claire. "why are you here?" i asked her as i stepped in her path from emily. "because i still want to be friends with her.the other girls just didn't like her and they wanted to not be friends with her anymore." she said as she walked to emily and held her hand. (you know in a friend way y'all know what i'm talking about right?) "please come back" she told her as tears slipped out of her eyes. i just stood there and watched. "do you want me to step into the hall?" i asked her as i noticed that she wasn't going to harm her. "no i was just about to leave. thank you for helping her." she walked over to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek, and then she left.

~~~~~one week later~~~~~

i see that emily moved her finger. i got a little excited. "hey if you can hear me move something." i told her. she moved her finger again. i called the doctor and told them. they rushed me out of the room and did several things to her. when they were all done taking blood samples. i went back into her room to see her awake laying down. "hey" she whispered when she saw me. "hey" i said softy as i held her hand. i looked at her beautiful face i saw all the bruises that were still there. "what happened to me?" she asked me as she winced in pain as she tried to move and get comfortable. "um jack. he happened." i said as i looked at her stomach, which was cover in bruises. "oh" she said as she too looked at her stomach. "when do i get to leave?" she asked me. "i'm not sure. i will ask the doctor when he comes in again." i said as i rubbed her stomach. "i'm kinda hungry. do you know if he doctors are letting me eat?" she asked me as her stomach grumbled. "yeah i think you can. do you want me to get you some food?" i asked her. she nodded her and and i let go of her hand. i brought her back a pasta salad and some chips. "oh my gosh this is like heaven right now." she said as she started to shove food in her face. shortly after she finished her food she went back to sleep. i hear the door open and see the doctor walk in and say she can go home in a few days. "hey. wake up baby." i said as i moved her hand. her eyes fluttered open. "did you just call me baby?" she asked me. "um yeah i guess i did im sorry." i said as i looked down in embarrassment. "its ok." she told me grabbing my hand.

emily's pov

i heard someone called me baby. i open my eyes to see chris standing there over me telling me to wake up. "did you just call me baby?" i asked him in shock. i would never have thought he would call me baby or give me any kind of nickname. "um yeah i guess i did." he said as he looked down at the floor. "well im gonna go back to sleep if thats ok?" i said as i rolled over an winced in pain. "no um the doctor said you could go home in a few days." he told me. i was so excited that screamed. "really??" i yelped out. "yeah" he said with a smile. "this is great." i said as i calmed back down. "will you go back to my house and pack a bag for me? i will tell you everything i need in a text." i asked him hoping he would say yes. "yeah sure. do you want me to do it now?" he asked me. "no just tell me when you want to go. if you want to go now thats fine, but you dont have to." i said as he sat sown in a chair next to me.
