After The Blackout [⚠,⏰]

Chapter Seven

Advance into The Night

The plan was to stall the two back up generators on separate ends of the city and to meet back up in front of Borg Industries. It would be pretty simple, excluding the fact that Sabra may have lacked training,though it was pretty clear that she could make up for it with her speed.

"All you and Sabra need to do is shut off the generators before they come on, Hiroshi." Bridge instructed, being heard from earpieces Hiroshi and Sabra were wearing. "The one you're going to go to, Sabra, is easier to get to. It's a few feet away from a noodle shop. Nothing too complicated," Adam explained as he pulled up a feed from a street camera. "Alright, Bridgette and I are watching you two using the street cameras. You two ready?" "As ready as I'll ever be.." Sabra said and sighed a bit. "Don't stress it! You'll do just fine, Sabra." Hiroshi said cheerfully, making Sabra smile.

Hiroshi and Sabra looked over the railing from the deck of the ship. There were emergency lights starting to come on, signaling that the generators might be powering up. "We're a few feet off the ground... You know how to land without hurting yourself, right?" The purple eyed male asked, a smirk crossing his face. "What?! Are you saying that we're jumping?!"

"It's easy!" Hiroshi then grabbed onto the rail and jumped over it, making a quick descent onto the empty car-ridden street, breaking his fall by tumbling and rising to his feet. He brushed the loose stands of hair front in front of his eye and pressed a button his earpiece, looking back up in the direction of the Destiny's Dream.

"See? C'mon, Sabra, you got this!" The brunette female laughed a bit and pulled her hair up into a ponytail, then hooking her Techno Blade onto a belt loop, soon pressing a button like Hiroshi did.

"I wasn't worried about it being easy, Hiroshi...," Sabra then lifted her arms above her head then lowered them halfway and jumped over. Quickly pulling her legs up to her chest then let them go just as fast, soon landing on her feet, her right foot moving slightly. She then stood up straight, looking over at the male to see his eyes wide with surprise. "I was worried that I wouldn't land correctly after not doing something like that in years."

The white haired male smiled and laughed. "Hey, brother!! I know you saw that, this girl's got potential!" The blonde older laughed slightly and shook his head a bit. "I saw, Hiroshi... But we still don't know if she can defend herself in a fight. But it's obvious that she's fast and flexible, which is good for defense.. But enough of that, you guys need to go turn off the back up generators." Adam looked on another camera to see four males in different colored suits. The darker skinned female looked over at the screen.

"Are those the ninja, Adam?" Bridge asked, the tall male nodded and pushed his glasses up on his nose. "I feel like they might be a slight problem. So, in case you two see them, any of them.... Do not let them stop you. If you have to fight them, then do it. Alright?" the shorter female looked at Adam with questioning eyes.

Sabra and Hiroshi exchanged similar looks before answering again. "If you say so, Adam.." the sapphire eyed female responded and started walking, Hiroshi following and eventually splitting off, going another direction. "I'll be honest, this plan sounded pretty okay until the one aforementioned detail... about fighting the ninja..." Sabra said and she looked around the dimly lit city.

"Trust me, they don't know what they're doing right now. It's the best time to get ahead while they still have no clue as to how to use those Techno Blades correctly. At least Hiroshi's had tons of time to learn how to use his, and you had about..... twenty minutes? Thirty-five at most?" the tall blonde explained and scratched at the back of his neck. "Well now, that makes me a little better... But I don't get why we have to attack them... They have at least three years of training under their belts... Literally."

"It's like Adam said, Sabra. Since they have to use something that's out of their comfort zone, it'll give you two time to execute the plan.. Successfully, I hope.." Bridge replied. "Don't worry, Bridge, we can do it." Hiroshi said. "Well then, make it quick. I'm starting to get restless.."

A couple more minutes passed before Sabra found the generator. "Master Chen's Noodle House? Are all those lights really necessary? I guess it looks better when they're on, like a Christmas display.." She walked past the noodle shop and towards the direction of the hidden generator when she felt a presence behind her.

"Uhm... Sabra, you have company.." Bridge noted. "I know, Bridge... You're kinda late with that.." The brown haired female said and turned around to come face-to-face with a male in red, whose hair was sort of spiky. "Quick question...." she muttered.

"Spit it out already, Sabra." Adam said, clearly, and quickly, losing his patience. "The red ninja, what's his name and element again?" "Oh! That's Kai, he's the Master of Fire.. I would've though the red should've given that much away from the start.." the frizzy haired female said, Sabra only shrugged.

"I didn't know that there were still people here. But, you should really get going before something else happens." The Master of Fire pulled his mask down from off his nose a bit, revealing a part of an old scar under his left eye. "I'll be fine. Trust me.. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to do something.-" she suddenly felt a hand pull her by the shoulder. "If you're thinkin' about turning off the generator, I can't and I'm not gonna let you do that."

Sabra turned and look at the emerald eyed male, one roundhouse kick later he was on the ground. Adam whistled, earning another look from Bridge. "Why do I feel like you also took martial arts classes, Ms.Sabra?" "Eh, only for a couple years. But that was back when I started high school.." she replied and went back to shutting down the generator. "You didn't even hesitate, Sabra.." Bridge said. "He touched me. I don't know him like that, hero or not..." As if it was perfectly timed, both of the generators were shut down simultaneously.

"Mission accomplished, you two!"
