"Doh Doh doh doh, doh doh doh, doh doh Doh doh doh, doh doh doh, doh doh Doh doh doh, doh doh doh, doh dohDoh doh doh, doh duh (Aaaaaaow!) This hit That ice co..."

Uptown funk blasts through our room before Mia turns it off. I roll over to go back to sleep then I remember. Today is the first day of worlds! Omg!!!!!!!!!

Mom is doing our make up herself and she does mine first. She uses this dark foundation that looks almost orange! Some lighter powder, she does a smokey eye that's not like super dark but will be seen, blush and some coral colored lipstick. I go into the bathroom to change as she's doing Mias makeup. Mom knows what our dresses look like but we don't so she gives us what we need. She gives me a black nike sports bra and gold bloomers. I have black athletic shorts to put over and a black t-shirt from Nike with coral letters saying "I'm that girl." It's a bit big on me so it will be easy to take off with my wig. I grab my sweatpants that have the school logo on it and our new jackets with the logo on the front, our name on the sleeve and on the back it says "Don't Mess With Texas." Mom finishes Mias makeup so she starts on my wig. It's a brown bun wig and a white crown with gold crystals. I'm so excited to see the dress now! I think it has gold in it defiantly and maybe black and white too! Mia has a brown bun wig too but she has two red flowers on the side.

We head down to the restaurant in the lobby to meet Ruby and Baylee and their moms for breakfast. We all go to a booth my a window and we can see a bunch of dancers walking into the convention center. Me and Ruby get their 3 egg omelet, Mia gets their Scottish porridge and Baylee gets some egg sandwich thing. We all order hot chocolate too. Once the food gets here we dig in, the moms pay and then we head over to the venue.

Baylee and her mom go over to the Celtic Star booth so she can get her dress so we'll see her later. Ruby and Mia are getting their Elevation dresses first so we head over there. They all give the lady a hug while scanning all the dresses they have trying to figure out which one is theirs. She has Ruby close her eyes as she gets the dress bag with hers. She unzips the bag and takes it out and I cant help but gasp! It's red and white and has a bunch of red flowers! OMG it's so pretty! Ruby opens her eyes and you can tell she loves it! She puts it on so we can make sure it fits and it fits her perfectly and she looks so good in it! She turns around and we see the cape. It's a big flower, similar to the ones on the front but it has a gem shape in the middle. I guess it's to represent her name, Ruby. She gets Mia's and takes it out and it's super pretty too! It has a red collar, tan shoulders and arms, yellow bodice and skirt and 3 red roses on the skirt. It looks like it's been inspired by Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Belle is her favorite princess! I feel like mom did that on purpose... They stand next to each other and the moms take a picture and say they'll send it to the dressmaker. They thank her and put the dresses into the bags.

Now it's my turn! We go over to the Doire Booth. She has a bunch of dresses out displayed and in trying to see if any of them look about my size. There's 4 that look like they would fit me, a black, coral white and gold one, a black, red white and gold dress with hearts, a black blue and teal one with a bit of gold and a red and white one with some black and gold. Amy of these could be my dress! Mom is talking to the dressmaker and she goes to grab the one that's mine. It's the black, coral and gold one! It's so pretty and unique! I feel like it's so me! I put it on and it fits perfectly! The back is mainly the gold until the skirt. The cape is gold to match the back with coral embroidery with black crystals. Ahhhh!!! It's so perfect I can't even! We thank the dressmaker and mom puts it in the dress bag and we head into the ballroom we're dancing in.

Mom finds us seats near the front. They haven't started yet so it's not super crowded yet... We save a seat for Baylee and her mom and we all stretch in the splits while we're waiting. I'm not sore anymore... Thank god...

After like 45 minutes the ballroom is getting pretty crowded and then we're called to start lining up! They're starting with 125-165! Since Ruby is 126 she's in the first group! And Mia is 154 so she has to line up too! The moms help them into their dresses and then they're off! They disappear into the mass of dancers. Now we just have to wait for them to dance...

"We are ready to commence round one of the girls 10 to 11 championships. The judges are Megan Berne from Australia, Tristin Lee from Northern Ireland, Norbert Maguire from England, Michaela Nolan from Scotland, Eloise Cullen from Scotland, Mahon Frank from Canada and Barrie Stacy from England. First onstage are competitors 125, 126 and 127."

Rosy walks out and she looks really good and confident! She goes off them comes back over to use and I hand her her jacket while her mom unzips her dress. We wait awhile then Mia is up "now up are competitors 152, 154 and 155. There is no 153." Mia does her hornpipe and it's so amazing! My jaw like hit the floor! It's the best she's ever danced! "Could competitors 166-200 report side stage to line up." That's Baylee! She gets on her dress and we all whisper good luck as she heads down and Mia comes back and I give her a really big hug. The nerves are kicking in even more as the numbers increase... 160s... 170s... 180s.... "Now up we have competitors 180, 181 and 182." Baylee's up! Oh wow... she's really going for it... I can't keep my eyes off her even though I'm trying to watch everyone else too... 190s.... "Could competitors 201-230 and 101-124 come backstage to line up." Ahhhh that's me!!!! 223!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I'm so nervous!!!!! Mom zips me into my dress, checks my hair and makeup, checks my shoes and socks, puts on my cape and sends me on my way.

Backstage is like nationals times a billion! it's super intense in here... we're all doing our steps in our heads and nobody's really talking... They line us up once we're up in a few groups then the next group is walking in and we walk up the stairs so we're basically on the stage too... I turn away so I don't watch then "Next onstage are competitors 220, 221 and 223. There is no 222." We walk onstage to the marks and I look out into the crowded room. This is it, I'm really at worlds. This is my time to shine. The music starts and I'm off! I dance harder then I've ever danced before, making sure all my beats are clear, my feet are straight out, my heals are off the ground, my arms are in and I'm looking up, all while remembering my steps and trying not to run into anyone! Let's see football players do this! In a flash it's over, we walk back, bow and I head back to our group. Miss Sandra is there and she gives me a big hug. "Ava that was absolutely amazing! There was nothing wrong with it!" I move over to mom so I can get off my dress and now we wait for the next round. I hope it's as good as she said this one was so I can be in the recall!
