Chapter 7

"Ava... We're Home... Wake up..." Mom says softly. We landed home from Glascow at midnight and it's 5 now that we're home. I slept the entire way... I haven't taken off my sash once! Except one time because Mia wanted to wear it. I get my bags out and we head in. I see dad and Sadie on the couch. Sadie's asleep but dad nudges her when we get in and she wakes up. She looks around then sees us, jumps up and runs to hug us. She hugs Mia, Mom then Me. "Woah you really did get 5th... Is the cup heavy?"
"Not really..." and I take it out so she can hold it. "Your globe will probably be a lot heavier..."
"Yeah right..." And she gives it back.
"Okay girls let's head up to bed... We can all talk about this in the morning..." Dad says and we head up to our respected rooms. I'm about to settle down and go to bed, even though it's 6:30 when my door opens the tiniest bit and I see Sadie there in the doorway. "Can I come in?" she says. "Always sadie." and she comes and sits next to me in bed, "Now what's bothering you?" I ask
"Do you really think I'll get a globe someday?"
"As much as I think the sky is blue."
"Really?"
"Really Really. Sadie you're the best dancer I know."
"Not as good as you..."
"You could beat me anyway with your eyes closed and you know it!"
"But you're 5th in the world!"
"And you're gonna be 1st when you can dance there!"
"No I won't... Everyone is so amazing overseas and In other regions..."
"Sadie. You're an amazing little dancer. You're U9 and you're already accomplishing most dancers never do! So stop with all this crazy talk and go back to the normal confident Sadie!"
"Thanks Ava, You're the best!"
"Anything for you Sadie." and I hug her.
"Can i stay here?"
"Sure." and she pulls half the covers to her side, Closes her eyes and falls asleep. I try to fall asleep but I'm reliving every moment from this week. I wish it never would have ended but now I'm ready for ever greater!
