I sat in the second portion of the bathroom; "The Dungeon," I decided to name it. This was part of my daily schedule. My CD was playing again.
I hummed the words once again and lay down, listening to it.

I woke up on my bed, Daniel beside me. He was still sleeping. I walked over to my dresser and picked up my diary, intending to write about the experiences I'd gone through so far with him.
I flipped to the page after the one about Dan.
I saw writing.
I don't know if you'll ever see this. But if you do I want you to always know how much of a difference you've made in my life already. I haven't known you for long, but yet I feel like the world is nothing compared to how much you mean to me. These past two weeks have been crazy. I am hoping I'll be able to help with your bully problems. So far, you haven't been focused on them as much as you have been with other things, like... For some reason, just my presence seems to have been distracting you. And, I'll be honest. Yours has been distracting me, too. It's weird. I feel insane being around you (that is not to be taken offensively) because I've never felt this way before. And I can't figure out what it is... Anyway, I'll write again later.
Love, Daniel <3
I looked at it, rereading it over and over again. I specifically focused on that heart he drew by his name.
I looked up at Dan. His eyes were shut.
I reread it again and again.
I'd made a difference in his life? And what had all this meant?
Oh, my word.
I felt tears as I put the pieces together.
I sobbed loudly, though trying to keep it down. I tossed the diary aside.
"Love! What's the matter?"
I ran to my laptop and flipped it open. More haters.
I sobbed.
"This can't be real," I whispered. "It just can't...."
"Talk to me, dear."
"The haters... And then..."
I looked at his eyes, filled with something.
Was it love?
I figured it out.
Daniel was in love with me.
He just hadn't figured out that that was what it was yet.
