Chapter 15

Probably spelt that wrong. Probably sorry about it... Anyways, I'm really bad at this thing I'm trying to do right now so I'm gonna actually start writing.

Araquiel

I wake up on a tree branch. My arms reflexively strangle the branch so I don't fall off. Not that it's needed since I'm tied down. Seeing the rope isn't that thick, I reach into my sock to grab my knife and grab... Nothing. I forgot that I took it out during the fair and lost it during all of the craziness that happened later. Reluctantly, I start to chew on the rope. I barely make a dent, but it makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something. But as it goes, my gums were first to break down. I spit out the blood that is now pooling in my mouth. The rope is now covered with the liquid so I push it away for another time. Now, I study wear I am. The forest seems recognizable, meaning I'm in my home country. A smile pushes up my cheeks until I can't see that well. Even though I've been captured by a maniac, at least I'll die in the place I was born. I hear wings flapping and hide the piece of rope I was gnawing at.

"Hello princess!" Shadow greets me cheerfully. "How was your sleep? Good? Bad? If it was bad then maybe I can put something in your water... Then you would sleep forever." He winks at me.

I fight the urge to throw up. I shake my head, forcing myself not to give in. My friends are out there looking for me. Unless...

"Where are my friends," I growl, glaring at the monster in front of me.

He chuckles, hiding his lips with his hand. "They're okay, for now. Once I gut you like a fish, they all will soon follow."

I feel a little mad myself now. My body starts to shake, causing the branch to tremble. I open the only part of me not tied down, my mouth, and scream. Shadow covers his ears and shuts his eyes, trying to hide from the intensity of it. Everything is at my beck and call, the forest is alive. The water lifts off the trees who sway to help me. The tree I'm on bends over until I'm sideways. Another branch uses it's sharp tendrils to saw away at my rope. In seconds I'm free and I am gracefully guided by leaves onto the wet ground. The tree I was just on bends over along with other nearby trees to lock Shadow into a Earthy cage. Now that the plants have done their work, the animals come to my call. I stop my scream as a flutter of butterflies fly towards me. They all are the same color as my my own wings, which I gained a year ago.

The lead butterfly lands on my lip, like a kiss. Suddenly, I went through my own metamorphosis. My wings popped out of my back and I was suddenly clean again. I was no longer hungry, just determined to be free. My dress is no longer ripped, and is magically shortens itself as I ran away from Shadow. I can hear him breaking the branches of his cage, roaring in fury.

"Where are you, you little devil! Mother Earth doesn't need you! You'll never join her once I kill you! I don't even need to wait anymore!"

I look behind me and fall on top of something. I groan and rub my head as I try to recover.

"Araquiel?" A strong masculine voice questions.

I look up and see the whited haired boy who saved me at my ball.

"You-"

"Zeru? What's wrong? Did you find somethi-" I hear Scar's familiar voice cut short as she notices me. "Arquiel?"

I stand up. "Its nice to see you guys and everything, but right now, we need to go."

My wings flap as hard as they can and I flutter away from the demon behind me, my friends following behind.
