Brad..

It wasn't what I wanted it to be. Me and brad began walking together, his hand was uncomfortable on my back and countless times I tried to turn away but he just kept putting it back there.

"Join me for lunch?"

"I uh. Blake and liam are waiting on me downstairs so I really should go-"

"Oh come on I insist." He smirks putting his hands on either side of the railing beside me. For the first time in my life I was afraid of brad. Intimidated even.

I took a shaky breath and nodded.

"You know what your right. I can just catch up with them later."

He nods smiling and I close my eyes as he turns away thankful he didn't shove me over the ledge.

"So brad." I try to make small talk. "How have you been.. since the accident. I heard the doctor say you had a minor back problem how is that going?"

His holds a glossy glare and my eyebrows scrunch.

"It's fine. I've been going to the chiropractor."

I nod faking a smile.

"That's really good."

He laughs shaking his head.

"Whats so funny?" I smile.

"You're trying to set this act. Like your not scared of me right now."

"Br-brad why would I ever be scared? I love you brad." I say and he stops taking a second look at me.

"Why are you going out with styles."

"O-oh harry and me are just friends but- I can stop.. I can stop talking to him just.. after this one time. It's a little late to back out."

The truth was I wanted everything to do with harry. But something so intimidating was pulling me towards brad and I felt like if I were to run away he would chase me down, take me in the car again, not slow down again-

"Baby girl I knew you would come back to me." He says and he leans down and begins to kiss me.
I press my hand to his chest but go along with it for a moment so he doesn't hurt me.
I was terrified of someone I loved..
"I'm coming over after you guys have your outing. Thats the last time you'll talk. You hear me?" His eyes grow darker and I nod swallowing hard.

I get a text.

Blake: where are you ?

"Hey brad, that's Blake I better get going." I say and he leans down pressing a rough kiss to my lips.

"Love you, I'll see you tonight."

"Yeah, love you too." I say shakily and watch him walk away. Thanking god i got out of lunch with him. I couldn't even think straight and needed an excuse. I ran into Payless and bought a pair of nude heels.

I practically ran down the escalators and found Blake and liam.

"Hey guys I'm sorry. I went to payless."

"Oh do show." Blake says her mouth full of food.

I pull out the pair of nude heels and her eyes widen.

"What?"

"Ev.. are you high?" She looks at my wide eyes.

"No not at all." My foot starts tapping and I shake my head. "Why would you even think that?"

"You look like you've seen a ghost." Liam says and sets his arm around blake.

"Guys I'm fine."

Blake compares the shoes.

"Baby girl these shoes don't even match your accessories." She says and looks at me with pity.

"Whats going on?"

"Nothing. We can take them back."

We all begin to walk back up there and liam walks ahead of us.

Its awkwardly silent until blake says "Where were you really at?"
