Camila has liked girls for as long as her memory allows. She found herself admiring their prettiness in ways that some of her family like her cousins, found peculiar. Her parents never did anything to make Camila feel ashamed, however. Outside of celebrities, the Latina rarely showed interest in boys.
Mr. Cabello always thought his daughter had "a little gay in her" but wasn't concerned. He liked knowing he would probably end up being the only man in his daughter's life, standard paternal instincts. Mrs. Cabello on the other hand saw it as a phase. She just knew her beautiful daughter would settle down and make a rich or wealthy man happy someday.
As Camila got older into her teens, she knew about her mother's expectations and it pressured her into imagining herself finding someone of the opposite sex to marry. She loved her mother that much. But all of that changed when she met Normani. Of course she still loved her mother but Camila began to accept the fact that she was a lesbian.
"What are you thinking about baby?" Normani asked her girlfriend.
They were tangled up together in bed. It was the morning after the interesting night of Camila going to that party with Lauren and Normani hanging out with Justine.
"Us, my mom, when we first met," Camila said after shaking her head. She kissed the ball of Normani's brown shoulder.
Normani chuckled at the memory. "I don't think your mom liked me for a while when she found out. Everything changed."
"She didn't really have anything against you, she just had a hard time accepting the fact that I'm gay. It could have been any girl and she would have reacted the same way...Mani, stop looking at me like that."
The brunette pouted fearfully as Normani jokingly glared at her when she said it could have been any girl.
"Any girl?" Normani said, cocking her head.
Camila laughed outright and peppered kisses all over Normani's face and neck.
"You know what I mean!"
She and Normani laughed and Normani smiled as Camila showered her with affection. The Texan held the Miamian tighter and planted a long kiss on her lips.
Normani looked amused when she noticed Camila was beginning to get sexually worked up again.
"You just can't get enough of me," Normani cooed.
Around an hour later, the couple decided to shower and get ready for a date at the mall and movies.
What better way to wrap up the weekend than with some quality time with your boo?
"I can tell you liked the movie," Camila said as she and Normani walked outside of the theater and towards the parking lot.
"It was so good. I liked that one better than the first one," Normani stressed with a cute frown. That was how serious she was about liking it. "Those little kids were so cute. Even though ours will be cuter." Normani nudged Camila when she said that and looked at her.
Camila got quiet but looked both ways as she crossed the street. "Yeah," she said with a forced smile/laugh.
Normani's brows knitted together but she didn't say anything. They got into the car.
"Are you okay?" Camila asked, sensing her girlfriend's energy.
"Yeah. Are you?"
Camila nodded and buckled her seatbelt before waiting for Normani to do the same and then driving off. The ride was quiet, a stark change from the ride going.
Normani didn't know what to think about Camila's response to Normani mentioning them having kids. Camila barely acknowledged that. Did she not want kids? Or did she not think their kids would be cute?
Maybe Normani was reading too much into it.
AN: As always, thanks to everyone who took the time to read, vote, and/or comment on the last part. I appreciate it! Do you think Normani is reading into something that wasn't there? Why do you think Camila had the reaction she did? Until next time! x
