Chapter 5

Aria's POV:

I woke up at the sound of my phone ringing, I opened my eyes and answered it

"Hello"

"good morning Aria" Amanda greeted

"good morning Amanda how are you?" I asked sitting down

"great honey thanks for asking, I'm so sorry for waking you up" she said

"no it's totally fine" I assured her

"I actually need you to do something for me" she said

"okay, sure"

"can you please go to my house to check on Ava today the babysitter said she'll be late and I bet the boys are sleeping and won't hear her even if she cried for hours" she explained

"yeah sure, I'll just get ready and head to your house" I informed

"oh thank you sweetie, you are a life saver, gotta go now love you" she said then hang up

Amanda was a designer while her husband was a lawyer so they were busy practically most of the time, I put my phone back on my night stand and went to the bathroom, pee, wash my face and brush my teeth, while brushing my teeth I looked at my reflection in the mirror and couldn't help but smile, Nathan is his name, it fit him perfectly when I saw him yesterday it was all a shock to me when I came back home I couldn't stop remembering how he said 'Night Aria' and with that all the memories from two years ago were back, leaving me thinking about him until I fall asleep

I went to my closet and put on a grey summer dress with my white converse I put my hair on a low messy bun the front part was down, put on some make up and went downstairs

"good morning honey" dad greeted

"morning dad" I replied kissing him on the cheek

"want some breakfast?" he asked

"No thanks I'll just grab a granola bar, I'm heading to Mike's house Amanda called me I need to check on Ava" I informed him

"Okay honey, have a nice day" he said

"you too dad love you, later" I shouted then closed the front door, walking to Mike's house, I reached the door and rang the doorbell, moments later it swings open revealing a shirtless Nathan only on his shorts and I felt like melting

"morning" he said with his husky morning voice

"morning" I replied stepping in

"Amanda called me to come check in on Ava, is Mike still sleeping?" I asked him and he tensed

"don't know go check, you know where your boyfriend's room is right?" he said coldly and went to his room actually the guest room, what? He thinks Mike is my boyfriend? I laughed and went to see Ava thankfully she was still sleeping, I then opened Mike's room that was empty, weird of him to wake up early I closed the door and went to the kitchen getting a cup of water Nathan came in after me

"want breakfast?" I asked him

"no, I'll just drink some juice" he replied pouring himself a cup of juice

"so how have you been?" I asked as he took a seat

"great, and you?" he asked

"same" I replied nodding

"you're originally from California that's interesting" he said

"yeah grow up here with mom and dad" I replied feeling little sad remembering the memories I had with mom, he must've noticed and came to stand next to me
