Working at the magazine couldn't get any better, it's been a month since I start this job and I'm loving it, although I have to face Nathan most of the time and that only makes me miss him more, after these years I still have the same feelings for him or maybe they even grow more, but he's getting married and what's worst Emma is the bitchiest person ever, she's so shallow and fake I don't get what he sees in her I'm not saying that because I'm jealous but because it's true and I might be a little jealous, okay a lot

"some attention please" Nathan's voice interrupted my thoughts

"as this job requires traveling, we'll be having a trip, and assuming that summer is close, people would love to see tropical things so we'll be heading to the Maldives" he informed us and I smiled I loved islands

"that will be all, the trip is in two days so get ready and have a nice day everybody" he added then turned around and before he did our eyes met, he looked blankly at me then went out, this cold shoulder thing is getting kinda annoying .

"Maldives are so great" one of my co-worker said

"yes, we might get a chance to see Mr parker shirtless by the beach" the other one replied

"oh come on he's getting married"

"doesn't matter" with that they laughed and walked away, I just smiled at that and finished editing the photos

"sun screen, glasses, headphones, book" I started checking my bag and see if I had something missing, the trip is in three hours and I'm heading to the airport , my phone rang and I answered

"Aria, still at home?" Jake asked

"hello to you too, yes heading out now, why?" I replied

"I'm coming to get you, be there in 15 mns" he added then hang up

Me and Jake got along really well, we'd often go eat together, he even came and cooked dinner for us here, he was such a nice person, that's why he's Nathan's best friend I guess, as for Nathan I noticed his glares every time I laugh with Jake or go out as if it annoys him to see me happy, I was bought out of my thoughts when my phone vibrate

I'm downstairs –J

I took my bags and headed downstairs

"hey" I greeted him, giving him a side hug

"get in" he said opening the door for me and I did

"I could've took a taxi you know" I told him

"yeah I know, but my car is better, I wouldn't let my best friend suffer in taxis" he replied with a wink

"ah so we're best friends now" I teased

"hurting my feeling there Ari" he replied with a fake hurt expression and I laughed

"best friends we are then" I said and he smiled, we reached the airport and all the working crow was there waiting for our flight

"you're so lucky sitting on first class, and I'll be eating those horrible community class sandwich" I informed Jake and he laughed

"at least it's a private jet, so you'll be surrounded only by people you know and not some creepy fat guy sitting next to you, asking if you'd be finishing that horrible sandwich" he said and I laughed, maybe my laughter was so loud because that caused Nathan to give me the cold look, when did he get here?

"Nathan!" Jake called standing up "I'll be seeing you later" he added and I nodded

Taking my book out and started reading, until they called for our flight and I stood up taking my bag and heading to the entrance
