Chapter 11

Aria's POV:

Today is the first day of the photo shoot so everyone had to wake up early, I took a bath and put on my bathing suit and denim short, I was going to put on a shirt but saw that it was really hot so I didn't, drank cup on juice, took my camera and headed out

"good morning" a voice said from behind and my heart skipped a beat, without turning around I replied

"morning Nathan" then my eyes widen I turned around and gave him a polite smile "sorry meant Mr.Parker"

"it's okay Aria" he replied then walked away, Aria the way he said my name got me all worked up, I took a deep breath and walked behind him.

We reached where the photoshoot was held and the crew was there

"hey Aria!" Jake shouted and I went to where he was standing

"how is it going Jake?" I asked looking around, Nathan was with some workers talking he looked focused and professional

"going good so far,everything is settled, we're about to start" he replied and I nodded

"okay guys let's get started" Nathan announced and we all headed to work

The views are amazing and there were a lot of great places, while I was snapping pictures I noticed that far away the water looks great and so pure and that would make a great picture to put in the middle page and if I was lucky enough even fish would appear so I went to Jake

"hey Jake I got an idea" I informed him

"yeah sure tell me" he replied so I did

"that's s great one, hold up let me call Nathan" he said turning and calling Nathan's name

"yes?" Nathan said while looking at both of us

"Aria here got a great idea for the middle page picture" Jake informed him and he looked at me

"really? What is it?" he asked me

"I wanted to snap a picture from the middle of the sea, the water there looks amazing and I might as well be lucky and snap pictures of fish too" I informed him and he nodded thinking about it

"it's getting dark and we have plenty of picture that are middle page worthy" he replied, of course he would've decline my idea because it is my idea

"Okay..." I replied looking down

"but Nahtan-" Jake started

"I have to check on the others finish the work here" Nathan ignored Jake and walked away

"Sorry, thought he'd accept it, it was a really good idea Aria" Jake apologized looking at me

"no it's okay it was just a suggestion, plus he's the boss so" I replied giving him a smile to assure him it was okay,well kind of actually

I turned around and started walking away, I can't believe he's taking this personal

"okay everyone have a break and we'll continue in a few" Nathan shouted and I went to grab a bottle of water

I looked at the beach and it was so good, I wanted to swim so badly, assuming this was break time I thought no one will mind even if they did I won't care I need to swim to clear my mind, I took my shorts off and put them on a chair, and put my camera on top on them and ran to the water.

It was cool as it hit my foot and I dived in, swimming further and further until I was far away from the chore then suddenly I couldn't move my leg, oh no not a leg cramp I tried to move it but it only hurt more, I was going down I fought with my hands but I was drowning

"Help" I tried to shout but water was getting into my mouth and couldn't even breath, my hand got tired and leg cramp didn't go as I was slowly drowning, no air was left in my lungs as my eyes started to close, then suddenly a strong hand lifted me from my waist

"Aria it's okay I'll get out of here just hold on" a voice said and all I did was try to breathe

We reached the chore and I was carried to the sand I opened my eyes and found Nathan carrying me and putting me down genteelly on the sand as I cough and water getting out of my mouth, he sat next to me breathing heavily, I put my hand on his arm and tighten my grip, he looked down at me and nodded telling me that he was fine.

"Oh god Aria, are you alright?" Jake came running and scooped me in his arms I nodded

"yes I'm fine" I replied in a weak voice , then he looked at Nathan

"what about you man?" he asked him, and I turned to look at him, he was glaring at Jake's hand that was underneath my waist as he was scooping me but still sat on the sand so I was practically on his lap

"yeah, everyone that's a wrap we'll finish tomorrow" was all what he said before standing up and walking away

"come on, let me get you to your room" Jake said carrying me and I didn't even reply, closed my eyes and thought of Nathan and why he was glaring, and made a mental note to thank him for saving my life.

After Jake carried me to my room the leg cramp was gone and I took a shower, I was tired so I didn't want to go out for dinner and room service bought it in,Jake came to check up on me saying that Nathan also didn't come out of his room and that he'll go to see him later, now I'm lying on bed editing some pictures as I heard a soft knock on the door I put the laptop aside and went to open it, I was surprised when I saw Nathan standing there, wearing a black shirt and grey sweatpants, he looked at me and his eyes widen as he took in my appearance, I was only wearing a shirt but what made his eyes widen was the fact that it was his shirt from years ago, the one I took with me the night I left

"hey" I greeted

"Hi" he replied "emm can I come in?" he asked and I open the door wider and let him in closing the door behind him

I stood there wrapping my hand around my waist as he went and stood at the balcony facing the water

"how are you?" he asked breaking the silence

"fine, thanks to you" I replied walking and standing beside him, he looked like he was deep in thoughts

"Thank you Nathan" I whispered and he didn't reply, instead he turned and looked at me in the eyes

"why?" he asked taking a deep breathe, why? Has a lot of answers and I'm not sure what he's asking

"why, what?" I asked instead of replying

"still have this shirt, and still wear it" he asked looking down at it

"the answer won't seem believable" I replied

"try me" he said still looking at me

"it's a reminder that you were real and what we shared once was real too" I replied turning to look at the sea

"damn it Aria!" he half shouted and I turned to him, he was running his hand through his hair

"real? Are you kidding? We probably could've stayed real if you didn't took off that night with no explanation!" he shouted looking at me deep in the eyes and I felt like crying, I saw hurt, I saw that I hurt him and I didn't know what to say that moment

"say something Aria, fuck! Say something anything explain!" he shouted again throwing his hand at the air and it went again to his hair and all I did was stay silent and looking down trying so hard not to let the tear escape from my eyes.

"nothing" he whispered "just say nothing and leave again with no explanation" he added, I looked up at him and that's when the tear escaped, the look on his face and the pain in his eyes, showed that this was killing him throughout the years

"Nathan" I whispered reaching out to him but he walked away held the door knob

"glad you're okay Aria" he whispered and went out closing the door behind him, while I stood there tears pouring down my face, I thought leaving him would do him good, but again it did if he left college years ago for me he wouldn't be where he is now.
