I thank all of my fllowers and readers, and especially Arely for her neverending comments that motivates me to continue even when it felt so much easier to just wait till my life sorts itself out a bit :) I'm giving you this chapter and I swear to update as soon as I humanly can without breaking my portable down :D thank you and good reading :)

The Gardens were in bloom and apart the dark clouds covering the horizon from all sides everything seemed peaceful and joyful. Awenhai watched the dark skies with sadness. She knew that everything she and Aireskoi spent so much time to create was menaced. The world was about to change and there was only one way to save their creation from the rule of Oblivion and the dark desire of Sawiskera.

-Are you sure we have to do this? Is there really no other way? - Aireskoi's dark features were clouded by the sad apprehension of what they were about to do.

- No love, - she finally looked down to look him in the eye. - There's only one thing to do and it pains my heart to pieces to ask you to do this, but I trust no one else.

She took his hand and smiled at him. It was a smile full of profound sadness. His eyes started to fill with tears.

- I don't know if I can do it... - Aireskoi whispered pulling her in his arms and holding her tightly against his strong chest. - You hold my heart and I hold yours... I love the world we created, I love our children, but I can't do this, Awen... I can't...

- You have to, Ai, - she kissed him gently and hugged him back, savouring his presence one last time. - You have to if you really love me. If Sawiskera takes control of our world, we will die with it. You know it. Just tell yourself that this is not the end, there will be a day that we will reunite and when the peace will reign in the world again. You have to believe it, Ai, I swear on my love to you that this day will come. You have to do it.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed and it seemed as if twilight had come early. There was a distant sound of people screaming and fighting, the light breeze was no longer carrying the scent of flowers, but that of smoke and charred flesh.

- Their coming, Ai, - Awenhai said her face set and distant, her eyes gazing the horizon, looking for the first sight of the enemies. We have to hurry, love. We have to do this now.

She turned to him a silver dagger in her left hand and a glass of dark golden potion in the other. Aireskoi avoided the dagger with his eyes and looked at his wife. She was beautiful. Her flaming red hair seemed to shine in the sudden twilight, her deep golden eyes were pulling him in... He could have stood there lost in them... But he knew he wouldn't let him...

- Take The Tear and do it, Love... - her voice was sad, but firm. She had made up her mind long before the armies of Oblivion were first spotted in the Plains out of their territory, now all Ai could do was to follow her lead... She was right and there was no time to lose. He took the dagger and watched as his beloved drank the potion that would seal their destinies. Every meddling in the equilibrium of forces needed a sacrifice. There was no other way.

- I love you my dearest, - she said smiling at him. - We are meant to be together and we will always be so. - She kissed him deeply, passionately, savouring his lips for the one last time and then she pushed away.

Aireskoi looked at her, weeping openly. The sound of fighting was very near now and the demons of Oblivion would soon be swarming all over the place. He started towards her.

- I love you, Awenhai... I will always love only you... - the dagger slid in her heart as through the thinnest of silks and his tears mixed with the blood of the only woman he would ever love, falling on the ground like some morbid rain...
