I woke up it was around midnight. I had a nightmare.
~Nightmare~
I was walking in the woods when I saw Jeff. Oddly I went over to him without the slightest pinch of fear. He saw me coming. He stood up and hugged me. I hugged him back. I looked to him and he kissed me. I could taste the blood from his mouth. Strangely I liked it. We finally stopped after what seemed for what was forever. When we stop we were on top of a pile of dead bodies. Faces I that I knew. My parents, teachers, best friends and some old friends. I looked to Jeff who was covered of blood then I looked down at myself, I was covered of blood too. I had a knife and blood was all over my face. The knife was so covered in blood that it looked like it was supposed to be crimson. I was the one who killed all those people.
~End of Nightmare~
The weird thing was I kind of liked part of it. I liked it when I hugged Jeff and kissed. I didn't like that I killed all those people. I don't have feelings for Jeff, right? He's a killer. I can't love him. I thought to myself.
"Hey are you okay?" I heard Jeff say to me. I didn't notice until he pointed out that I was tearing up.
"Yeah, just a bad dream," I said to him. I didn't want to tell him about the dream.
"Okay," he replied not sounding convinced.
"I'm not trying to sound rude but, what are you doing here?" I asked him hoping I didn't hurt his feelings. Wait! Killers don't have feelings. I thought to myself.
"I need to have a place to stay too. Just because I'm a killer doesn't mean that I don't need a place," he replied to me.
"Oh I didn't know that," I said to him.
"Nah, it's okay," he said to me. I soon fell back to a long slumber.
It was 6am. I looked around the room to see if Jeff was still there. I saw him in the corner of the room in a chair. He was awake but didn't notice that I was awake.
"Good morning," I said to him. He looked up at me stunned.
"Hey," he said to me. He seemed to be smiling bigger ( well.... bigger then usual).
"Jeff, I'm getting out today," I said to him.
"Do you know what that means?" he asked me.
"Umm.. no what?" I asked him.
"You're going to talk to the police today," he said to me. I knew that meant. I needed to make a convincing cover story.
"Oh, will you help me make a good cover story?" I asked him. He seemed to be stunned.
"s-sure," he replied," just say that the attacker's face was cover and it was really dark so you couldn't see him."
"okay thanks," I said to him. He looked straight at me," why do you look surprised?"
"It's nothing," he said to me. I hated how mysterious he was but, I kind of liked it.
"Okay," I said to him. I looked straight at him. He wouldn't look at me.
"Are you going to go back to sleep?" he asked me.
"Yeah, I'll try to," I said to him. I looked away and laid back and close my eyes. I tried my best but I couldn't fall asleep.
"Jeff, I can't go to sleep," I said to him. No respond.
"Jeff?" I asked as I turned around. I looked up to find him in a chair right next to me.
