Chapter 3

Caspars pov

I have been so excited to tell Joe about me and Maya.

I just couldn't wait to come home and see my best mate and tell him about the exciting news.

I was going to ask him if we wanted to be best man at the wedding, I had it all planned.

When I told Joe he reacted differently to what I expected, he seemed kind of jealous.

I expected him to be as excited as me but he barley reacted at all, he just froze in his place.

He didn't say anything and completely blocked me out.

"Joe?!" I said whilst staring at him wondering why he is acting this way.

"JOE" I repeated whilst waving my hand in front of his eyes which had been focusing on the floor for that past minuet or two.

"EARTH TO JOE?!" I said starting to get a bit pissed off with him.

He finally dropped the stupid staring at the floor act and looked up at me.

He looked upset, disappointed and confused.

This made me confused too, I wondered if he heard me wrong so I told him the news again informing him on the date and venue of the wedding.

As me and Maya were sharing our excitement to Joe and he didn't say a word.

I was unsure weather he was listening or not because he still had the same expression on his face: upset disappointed and confused.

"What'd ya think Joe?" I asked curiously wondering weather my roommate actually cared about this big event in my life.

He didn't answer me and he was really starting to piss me off.

"JOE" I shouted, slightly louder than before as I moved closer to Joe and dropped Maya's hand.

He didn't move.

It was as if he was completely blocking me out.

"JOOEE!!" I repeated shouting even louder.

No reaction what so ever

Nothing...

"FOR FUCK SAKE JOE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!' I boomed as my voice echoed around the apartment. Maya pulled me back as if she was scared that I was going to hurt him, she's never seen me act this way before. I guess she didn't know what I'm capable of.

I pushed Maya away and walked up to Joe and punched him in the face.

He didn't flinch at all.

"What the hell Caspar what on earth did Joe do to deserve that." Maya yelled as one single tear rolled down Joes cheek.

I turned back to Maya and warned her to stay out of it; I didn't want her thinking that I was some psycho who hits people. I didn't want her to be scared of me or think that I was a threat.

I also certainly didn't want her to feel sympathetic towards Joe because I was assuming that Joe was jealous of our relationship so I don't want them going near each other,

Ever.

I turned back to hear a slam of a door, Joe was gone.

I didn't care at all,

He deserved what I gave him and If he didn't walk away then I would've.

Maybe it was a bit harsh to punch him but I guess he deserved it.

He was jealous.

He was jealous because I got a girlfriend before him.

He was jealous of me and Maya because we were getting married.

He was jealous because he couldn't get his own girlfriend and he will probably try to steal mine, that is why I'm going to move out.

I don't want Joe coming any where near me or Maya; I don't want him ruining our relationship.

This means that he isn't coming to the wedding, I don't need him anymore.

He's such a baby, I mean seriously he can't even take a punch from me.

It's not like I'm the most muscular person on earth.

I didn't even punch him hard, it could've been 10 times worse but he still ran off crying into his bed room like a baby sloth.

I don't need him.

I don't need Joe.

"Oops did I hurt him." I said sarcastically whilst turning back to Maya and letting out a nervous laugh knowing that she didn't approve with what I just did.

Maya completely ignored me so I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to me.

She didn't react at all.

"Hug me then" I laughed whilst pulling her arms around me.

She didn't reply but began hugging me back.

"I love you" I whispered in her ear whilst stroking Maya's hair waiting for her to reply.

"Maya I love you" I repeated wondering why she didn't give her love back, she was obviously annoyed with me.

We stood in silence for a moment hugging in the door way.

"Welcome to London" I say awkwardly as I place her lips onto mine to try to stop the awkwardness.

Maya completely ignored me and pushed me away.

"Maya?!" I say trying to get her attention as I watched her walk away from me.

"Im going to check on Joe" Maya replied with an attitude without looking back.

I didn't even bother replying and stormed out of the front door.

She was going to see Joe.

Joe.

The one who was jealous of our relationship.

The only person that could ruin our wedding.

She was risking everything

and I mean everything.

This'll be the last time she is seeing Joe because I'm moving out.

We're moving out,

Me and Maya

Together.

Away from that jealous prick.
