Luke Hemmings. The name sounded almost intoxicating...
Rosie felt her breath stop in the middle of her throat. All of a sudden things got hot but she felt cold.
"Okay I'll do it." She squeaked before running out. Someone where to hide that's what she needed, so she ran. Hallways and turns until she found the exit to the field for football games.
a/n football as in soccer.
Behind the bleachers, where she always went. This time her usual corner was occupied by the one and only Luke Hemmings.
She wanted to turn and walk away but she couldn't pull her self to do it. He was crying, she knew how it felt to cry and no one to be there.
Leaves crunched under her when she walked causing Luke's head to snap up.
"Who are you?"
"Are you okay?"
She didn't want him to know who she was. She didn't want him to know she existed.
"Well does it look like I'm okay?" He snapped at her. Her small frame jumped back some at the harshness of his voice.
"I-I'm sorry I u-usually go here to cry so I-I got confused why you w-were here I shouldn't h-have said any-ything."
A few tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't stop them they just kept rolling. Rosie stared at the floor and turned to walk away.
"What's your name?" she jumped not expecting him to even answer back to her.
"It doesn't matter." She kept walking, hoping to keep herself hidden again.
Until she heard leaves crunch behind her. Rosie jumped expecting no sound but her own feet and her own crying. She decided to keep walking, the more they talked the more recognizable she will be.
He couldn't bare that she was ignoring him. He grabbed her hand, Rosie stopped and fell to the ground. She didn't pass out or faint but she was scared and weak. She cried more rolling up on the ground.
"Hey, hey, don't cry." He sat down next to her and pulled her into him. Rosie wanted to push away and she tried to but he wasn't going to let her go.
She was the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. Her green eyes and long black hair, how tiny she was compared to him. It was all so perfect to him. She decided to stop trying to get out of just tight grip and just relax.
"Can I know you're name now?"
"Rosie."
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Her cheeks went hot and red. Never once did he talk to her before then. Luke felt like he's know her for ages.
"Mr. Brown wants me to 'help' you in English. I don't know if you know that yet but he asked me to." Luke nodded and stood up shaking the leaves off his arm. "We will see about that."
He left.
Like left her there alone, Rosie knew it would happen.
Before she could cry a crash broke her daze...
