Justin's POV
I wondered downstairs to see my mom standing in the kitchen reading the paper.
"Morning sweetie" she said looking up from the paper.
"Morning mom" I said sending her a small smile.
"So what are your plans for the day?" She questioned.
I mentally groaned, why did she want to know all the stupid little details in my life. "I'm going over to Matts house a bit later." I said opening the fridge.
"For Matthew of for Emily?" She said, raising an eyebrow at me.
"For Matthew mother. Em is going out with Megan today, she wanted to go shopping for clothes for that music festival I told you about." I said searching for something to eat.
"Oh..yeah" she said cooly, pretending to remember the conversation. She hadn't really been all there lately. I guess it was because she had the new job and a lot of things on her plate so I didn't really blame her.
"Next Friday we drive up in Matt's car. We are staying till Sunday night and driving back late that night. " I said reminding her
"Thanks Justin " she said, sending me a small smile.
"I better get going" I said turning to leave.
"Why don't you invite Emily over for dinner tonight." She said, smiling at me. I had to stop myself from laughing as she jokingly pouted at me.
"Hey! I want to have her over, I hardly know her."
"Okay!" I said holding my hands up in defense. "I'll invite her. Just try not to scare my girlfriend off with your cooking." I laughed as she jokingly hit me on the arm.
"Just go to Matthews house and be back at 6" she laughed. I really enjoyed these moments with my mom. We got along really well and I respected her so much. To be a single mother is one thing but to be a doctor and a single mother, it is hard work an I respect her for that.
I got to Matts house at 11 and we sat down on the couch. I was actually looking forward to finally spending some one on one time with Matt. He was a really good friend and always made me laugh.
We began to watch the football match on tv. I could hear Megan and Em laughing from upstairs which made me smile. I probably would have gone up there by now if Megan wasn't there but I didn't want to interrupt the special day they had planned. Emily didn't know I was coming over so I thought it would be fun to surprise her when she came down.
I heard her door open from upstairs. I suddenly felt my stomach start doing flips. She always made me feel a nervous but in the best way.
"You're kidding me!" She laughed, coming downstairs. Her laughter and her voice filled my ears, I couldn't think of any better sound. God I loved her, absolutely everything about her.
I looked over at her and I had to practically stop my mouths from dropping to the floor. She wore a grey sports bralet, light blue boyfriend jeans, grey Nike vapor courts, a silver Marc Jacobs watch and a grey Adidas jacket around her waist. Her hair was tied into a high pony and her makeup was not too heavy but more than she usually wore. She looked so good right now, it took everything for me not to take her back up to her room and make out with her.
Her eyes finally met with mine and the biggest smile grew upon her face, the same one that always made my heart pick up speed and a smile to appear on my lips.
She ran to me and jumped into my lap, placing kisses all over my face. Her hands were on my chest and my arms wrapped around her waist.
I let out a laugh and kissed her lips. "Hey Em" I said smiling at her.
