I saw you on my walk
You blew my mind
You just smiled and your smile
It flatters my heart every time.
We talked, we laughed
We get along too well
Don't know how those happy months passed
Before it all ruined.
I remember climbing to the window,
talking at night.
Oh! my love we were so alright.
Then December came with its frosty air
It shattered my heart with its icy glare
I am such a fool why I can't see your bloody affair.
I should've known better
I trusted you with my heart.
But you just crushed it and broke it
Now, I'm standing all alone in a crowd
with broken pieces falling apart
Now my guards are up
Did you have to do this?
I recall the sound of the rain
Knocking at your door
with my shivering hands.
I said "I love you"
You said you love me too
But you didn't mean it the way i do
I remember our first kiss
over the river, under the bridge
I can't believe we end up like this.
You left me all alone to cry
I gave you roses
And you left them there to die.
I used to believe
that we were meant to be
Now I'm searching for life in an empty sea.
