That night I was writing about you
Telling how we laughed,
How we smiled.
Calling you to pick up,
But you never did.
I was wondering that night
That you could be in my arms
You said, you're getting close,
But then I realized it's just over.
Nothing left but a picture of us.
I never meant to cry,
You said you'll come by
But you never did,
Though for long I waited.
But no more, no chance
There's so much change.
I'm moving on, as you did too
That night was last night
I was thinking of you
That night was final night
I waited for you
But now I'm moving on
Getting over you and do what I want
To your face my ex-love
I'm laughing now.
There's so much more than you and me
There's a big wide world waiting for me.
That night was last night
I thought of you
But now it's just world and me
I'm happy on my own you see
My ex-love thanking you
For leaving me.
Cause that night was the night
I found real me.
