Hey guys so this poem is based off of the song Yesterday by the Beatles, beautiful song by the way and the poem contains some lines from it

I believe in yesterday,
When we didn't have to worry,
About being shot on the break,
Or being robbed of our dignity,
Yesterday, All my troubles seemed so far away,
When my life never had a focus,
Only to break my soul,
And have my hope squandered with the future,
How I long for yesterday,
Back then I never had a care,
To try to build,
Our life together in love,
Now I need a place to hide away,
No longer could we hold,
To our dreams for blossoming,
Or keeping innocence pure,.
Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say,
We lost our hope on tomorrow's front,
Don't cry or show today,
Of our fears to crush slowly,
Now it looks as if my troubles are here to stay,
They won't leave,
On my soul,
Only I hold onto past dreams,
Oh I believe in yesterday.
