Kings, conquerors and peasants alike all sought after one item near the dawn of civilization, the Holy Grail. The relic that received the blood of Christ, a treasure that would grant any who drink from it will have their wish. Immortality, eternal youth, food in infinite abundance, wealth - however, in all of history, no wishes have been granted by this illustrious grail and so it was buried into the obscurity of legend until 1800...

The Holy Grail, an omnipotent wish granting device was formed in the town of Fuyuki in order to hide it's existence outside of European eyes. But before the Holy Grail, seven souls rose from the earth, beckoning to the calls of the Magus that summoned them. Everything that was born and drew breath on this Earth, from all of history; folklore, curses and even fiction, they rose in servitude to their summoner. They are the spirits known as 'Servants' and those that called to them are known as 'Masters'. It is the absolute condition that must be achieved in order to use the grail, for to truly manifest, 6 souls must be sacrificed to Grail. But only one may obtain the Holy Grail, and thus begun the Holy Grail Wars.

In the year 1997 another Holy Grail was created in the town of Snowfield in Nevada by the US government and their Magus. After a 70 year effort to displace the indigenous population from their Holy land, it was ready. Rumours rose about The Holy Grail in America and Magus were sent to investigate it, but little did they know that the war had already begun. The grail had chosen 6 masters which gladly accepted the call to America, who summoned 6 servants and thus the war began.

The city was torn apart by the spirits called forth by the Grail - but among these great heroes were those that could never be considered 'heroes'. The land once called holy was scarred, as civilization fell to it's knees to the riots that ran then rampant in the streets. A few months later it as discovered that those that fled Snowfield were afflicted with a terrible disease, and although it eventually died out with it's victims, thousands more lives were claimed and thus this chapter in the history of the Holy Grail Wars ended until 2015.

There was a church that stood abandoned at the top of a hill - yet no moss grew on the stone, or rust on the great bronze bell that chimed loudly in the afternoon. This church was bought by a single man and renovated overnight into the place it is today, a school for those that had lost their guide and wandered alone at night, it would be their salvation - that was the kind of place it was, that was the kind of man he was. One day the lights in the church dimmed and the man was nowhere to be seen, the bell would no longer chime loudly in the afternoon and soon, once again it was abandoned.

On the edge of Snowfield there was a cave preached on the edge of a cliff that opened up to overlook the once prosperous city, that had now fallen into a cold deathly silence. That night, the moon and the stars were clear in the sky as three people approached the cave, one an Indian woman that lead the men behind her with confidence, a brown leather bag held to her side.

Behind her a tall, older white man walked in tune, side by side with the young man by his side. His worn, baggy clothes, the clothing on his leather jacket had faded into white at parts. His name was Adam, the owner of the Church and a man which, the Indian woman Tine was indebted to.

Walking quietly up the hill to the cave, sulking with a stuttered pace, he made no sound as he walked and refused to look anywhere by his own feet. Originally from the Middle East, he was found wandering the streets at night when he was very young, forgotten until he was taken in by Adam who gave him the name 'Jackson' as he realised his talents as a mage. That was 13 years ago, today he is a timid man that focused on his studies under Adam's tutelage.

''This is the place where I met the man that saved my people - Gilgamesh'' said Tine as they entered the cave while looking into her leather bag. ''This was his first gift to me, if you use it as a catalyst in the summoning then you will summon him. It was in this cave that I met him, if we summon him he will protect you both through this war'' she said, producing a small, translucent bottle with a lustrous, beautifully-ornamented design.
