''His body isn't accepting my mana. Is it because the command seals are gone?'' Adam though out loud.

''It isn't returning to the soil, but the mana is being carried away. To the Grail probably. If that's the case, then this body is nothing more than a vessel to contain the spirit. The command seals must be what links the servant to their Master. When the vessel breaks, the spirit leaves like it would a body but it instead returns to the Grail.''

''So you are truly dead. I am sorry my King, but this is for Tine'' Adam said to himself, stating his decision to the corpse.

Adam placed his hand on Gilgamesh's chest and chanted to himself in a hissing, otherworldly voice. ''Let it go, let it go'' His voice progressively become faint and his mind became blank, until a minute later it was little more than a murmur. Adam's body slumped down onto the ground, still muttering the same 3 words even while passed out.

When his eyes opened he witnessed the corpse of an old man beside him, it was his own, his former body. He gazed upon his new form, lifting his hand into the air to capture the light of the moon before grasping at it. ''This body feels great, it is as if I can take on the world right now'' said Adam, now Gilgamesh.

Rising to his feet, he felt the weight on his shoulders, the power of his new form -- the vessel that once held Gilgamesh still radiated his strength. His divine spirit lingered in the flesh, in his blood, his essence lived on in Adam's new body. Both in his physical and his spiritual body, although he could feel a faint tugging at his chest he ignored it.

''I almost forgot about the poison in all this excitement'' he thought, and took another cooling potion from the pile and gulped down the blue liquid. Fumbling slightly, noticing the response in this new body was immediate and that his hands were slightly bigger. ''This will take some getting used to, everything is so perfect. It feels... exotic''' he said, quite happy with himself until he noticed movement in the distance.

Several blades shot from the darkness with precision, all aimed at his former body that continued to muttered to itself with life. But before they could even cross the distance, they were struck down by golden bolts of light appearing from a ripple in the air. Without thought or action, the Gates of Babylon responded to his immediate will. His eyes pierced the shadows and glimpsed at the man that hid underneath them. ''An Executioner'' Adam thought grimly.

Their eyes met from across the gap between and suddenly he dashed only to find a golden chain constricting his leg. Leaping across from the building, Adam landed opposite the bound Executioner while trying to keep up appearanced. His nose turned up to the man and he looked down upon him and said ''It is useless to run, Mongrel'' in an attempt to mimick Gilgamesh.

The Execution was Teodore, his olive skin glistening like oil as he realised his situation. But otherwise he was calm, stood straight up in attention, he turned to the servant before him. ''I surrender, please spare my life'' he said, throwing away the black keys as he rose his hands into the air.

Adam let out a forced chuff of air, ''Your life?'' he laughed. ''You attack my Master and think you can walk away with your life. Very well, amuse me. What is your wish for the Grail?'' asked Adam, maintaining his act.

Teodore took a moment to answer, ''For the greater good'' he stated.

''But that blood I see on your hands, it's innocent and pure, unlike your own. What would your idea of a greater good be?'' asked Adam.

''God'' replied Teodore, deadly serious. His eyes told the truth of his words, that at a whim he would throw away his life to serve this 'greater good.'

The chain withdrew into the ripple and it's captive was freed, but did not run. ''If you run, I'm faster. If you fight, I'm stronger. Your words disguise your cunning well'' said Adam, as he approached him. Teodore did what he was told and obeyed, understanding what that he was correct.

''In exchange for your life, deliver this message to your allies. Tell them that my Master is the Shaman from the Eastern plains and that his anger is not yet sated'' he ordered, swinging his hand to the side in a commanding bout. Teodore immediately accepted such an easy task and descended down the side of the building while Adam, or Gilgamesh rather watched him leave.

Below the quiet chaos of the rescue missions were carried out, taking the injured from the near-collapsing buildings that were damaged by the war. Although most were caused by Gilgamesh, Berserker and Archer had their part in it. But karma was brought down on Gilgamesh in the form of an order from his own Master, ''Kill yourself, Gilgamesh'' and thus he died before he could recieved his next order. But Adam still tried to save him, even after the end. Having no choice, he preformed a ritual and swapped bodies before it could fade.
