Sitting in my dorm I took a breath, reading my Doctor Who novel as I laid back on my bed. But I couldn't focus. I kept thinking about Chloe. She knows I love her, and I know she loves  me back, but I didn't think we would of ended up together like how we are now.  It seems like a thousand years ago we where kids, running around Arcadia Bay dressed up as pirates and pretending to find hidden treasure.

That was than.

This is Now.

We where not kids anymore- we where teenagers. Almost adults. We're young and in love- sounds like the typical romance story.. Oh deer. But I couldn't complain. I loved those cheesy rom-coms. Typical for a girl I know- don't judge me.

*bring* my phone went off. And text bombs from Chloe.

Chloe: Yo sweet cheeks u free

Me: Free being the word

Chloe: i just don't wanna be alone right now

Me: Oh, something happen?

Chloe: im just really sick

Chloe: come over?

Chloe: please?

Chloe is so god damn cute. At least this will give me an excuse to see her.

Me: on my way

Chloe: get dat ass in gear

I shook my head and laughed as I turned my phone back off, getting up from my bed and stood up as I reached for My bag. Putting it over my shoulder I headed outside of my dorm to go to the bus.  I reached for the door and headed out of the girls dorm.

Going on the campus area of the dorms I saw the normal, jocks playing football, Alyssa reading- Kate sitting on the bench- wait, Kate? I haven't talked to her today. Better go and check on her. I smiled and walked over to her. Kate looked up at me and had her normal shy look to her face.

"Hey Max." Kate said, though she seemed happy- her face didn't show.

"Hey Kate." I replied back with a smile, she gave a small smile in return and looked back down into her lap. I looked at her gently as I tried to think of what to say.  Taking a deep breath as I choose to sit with her, when I tried to think of something to brighten her day. Than I smiled a little as I turned to face her fully. "I loved you at your darkest." I resided. She looked at me surprised, but a smile came to her lips.

"Romans, 5:8" She said smiling, I nodded in response as she still looked shocked. "Did you go to church Max?" She asked me. I merely shrugged.

"Not really, but I have read the Bible from time to time." I responded honestly. She gave another small smile as she looked at her. But than something came to my mind. The thought that I was in a relationship with a girl, and I heard that some churches are against that sort of thing, but I don't know about Kate. "Hey Kate?" I asked softly. She tilted her head as she looked at me once again.

"yes?" she asked gently.

"Do you think Homosexuality is a sin?" I asked her, as soon as I asked her a silence came over us, and it was not comfortable for me. I looked at her gently still, but she just busted out into giggles. I tilted my head, looking at her confused.

"Of course I don't Max, sure I'm a Christian woman, but that doesn't mean I'm going against how I feel if I fall for another woman." she said honestly with a smile. I smiled back at her and took a deep breath.  "What I think is that God loves you before he knew who you where, so he'll love us no matter what."

"Sure Kate." I responded with a smile as she looked at her. "Its cool that you feel this way." the Christian girl merely shrugged her shoulders and smiled still.

"Like you said, I have loved you at your darkest." she smiled as she looked at me.  I smiled still in return and waved to her.

"See you around." I responded.

"See you angel."
