Chapter 16:

Its been a couple years since I've seen both Justin and Kyle. And over those years, I've done a whole lot.

I've enrolled in collage, finally. Getting back in the whole school system was a bit hard at first, but I have the hang of it now. I'm actually planning on majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. I've always had an interest in those fields. I've also become an intern at the local schools. I usually help out the guidence counselers there or the high school psychologists. As for my job, I've starting working at walmart, taking the night shifts. The pay isn't great, but its something.

I was currently sitting in Psych class listening to Mr. Eveans, the teacher, drag on and on about something. I loved the subject, but the teacher just ruins it.

"Miss Heartt, Can you name a few abnormal behaviors?" Mr. Eveans asked. He was smiling his evil smile. He knew I wasn't paying attention, and he did this every damn class just to embarrass me.

But thankfully, and to my surprise, my seat partner handed me her notes.

I skimmed through the page to find the answers and when I did I opened my mouth to answer. I saw Mr. Eveans eyebrows cock up in surprise.

"Very good, Miss Heartt," he spoke. I smirked and thanked my seat partner. She nodded her head in response and I waited another hour until class was over.

When everyone was out of the room except myself and Mr. Eveans, he called my down to his desk.

"Whats up," I said.

"What's up?" he shook his head. He was those sophistocated kind of people, and never liked it when someone used slang, or mearly said 'What's up.' I never understood. I mean, I least I'm acknowledging his existence. It's not like I just walked past him without even bothering to hear what he wanted to say.

"Yes, what's up? You know like, how are you?" I said.

"I know what it means Miss Heartt, I was not born without a brain. I just do not understand why you cannot say "how are you" instead. It's quite nicer. That said, I want you to write a paper."

"Write a paper? You mean write on paper?" I laughed.

"I want you to write an essay on Disablilities," he started, dismissing my little joke. "Your grade is just below passing and I don't want to have to teach you all over again."

I sighed, "When is it due?"

"Next class. So you have 2 days to finish," he said dismissing me.

Two days to write an essay about a subject I don't know about. This is why you should listen in class. Ugh.

I walked out of class and made my way outside. The cool breeze hit me in the face and It reminded me of the park I used to sit in whenever Justin would be working in the studio. Oh what I would do just to talk to him again.

Sometimes I wonder if leaving that day was worth it. I shrugged it off and sat in my car, driving to my little apartment. Though, it wasn't really so little, as it was built on a high-rise. I shared it with three girls I met on campus. They could be a bit crazy sometimes, but they were the closest people I had to friends. And I know it seems bizarre that a girl who works at walmart can afford a place like this, but the others have fairly decent salary's and together we could pull off renting the place.

When I walked in, I heard Justin's song "Heartbreaker" playing. Kiana and Ashley, two of my apartment buddies, were dancing to it, as usual. They are both part of a dance team, and to be honest, they were the best dancers I knew. But the song they were playing didn't really lighten up my mood. I always listen to Justin, but this song got to me in a way no other song has.

It's about how I broke his heart by leaving him. And i don't want to sound to cocky because the song could also be about Selena. I'm not sure though. Either way, it still hurts me everytime I hear it.

I waved a hi at the girls and placed my bag on the coffee table in front of of the big, three seat couch.

I asked them where Melissa was and they said she was in her room with her boyfriend. Typical Melissa.

I laughed and went into my room. It was the smallest room, but it had everything I needed. A bed, closet, mirror, and a desk. I got out my laptop and started to work on my essay, its better to work now than last minute, right?

I started to type but the music kept bugging me. And when the music was off, Melissa's moaning kept bothering me. Living with them does have its cons and I couldn't concentrate. So I decided I'd just go to the coffee shop "The Brew." At least it'd be quiter than it is here.

"Guys, I'm going out, okay?" I yelled over all the racket. All of a sudden, the music stopped and they all ran out to surround me.

"Who is it?" Kiana asked.

"C'mon, don't be shy Cel, tell us!" Melissa agreed. I was so confused.

"Tell you what?" I said slowly.

"Who you're going out with?" Ashley said in a 'duh' sorta tone.

I started cracking up. Oh, how could I not have known!

"I'm going out with...myself?" I said, though it came out as more of a question than a statement.

"Celine! Are you doing homework, again?! God girl, you gotta get your head outta those books sometimes," Kiana said.

""Well, I'm not always doing homework. I do other stuff too," I said defensively.

"Nuh-uh. You need to start looking for some men to hang with. I don't know about you, but you're just a bit antisocial sometimes," Melissa chuckled. "You need to let yourself free. Just relax a bit, and have some fun."

"Go out on dates, Cel," Ashley suggested.

"No thanks," I mumbled. I havent dated ever since, Kyle really.

"Just promise me you'll get married and not live like one of those ladies with one hundred cats??"

"I promise, now I'm going out, to The Brew. So um, you know, bye," I laughed.

"Bye," they all said in unison.

I grabbed my laptop and a jacket, since it was a bit chilly out, and made my way.

~~~~
I stared my essay so far. It was pretty damn good.
Oh who am I kidding I barely had a paragraph written. The only thing on the actual page is the title: Disabilities, and my name.
I placed my head in my hands and thought, frustration taking over me.
Note to self: listen in class. It pays off.
I got up and decided to get a refill on my vanilla frapp. All this thinking and my drink has gone cold.
"Coming right up, ma'am," the lady at the counter said, fidgeting with the cash register.
Waiting for my refill seemed like forever but it had only been a few seconds. I payed for my drink and went back to seat.
Several minutes into the start of my essay, the door bell chimed and someone walked in. I couldn't see what he looked like, but it was obviously a man. Another man, a more muscular one, followed him from behind, wearing all black.
Who was that? Did the guy have a bodyguard?
He must be special, I snorted.
I shifted my eyes back to my laptop screen when I heard some faintly whisper from the table behind me, "is that Justin Bieber?"
