Levi is an angel. He falls from the heavens into the real world. Eren finds him in an ally way on the way home. Concerned for Levis well-being he takes him home where he patches him up and takes care of him. As Eren is looking after Levi they form a bond. When Levi has to go Eren is upset. Levi cannot stay in the human world any longer and must return to the heavens. After a few weeks without hearing from Levi, Eren gives up on ever hearing from him again. Levi misses Eren so much he turns his back on god and tares his own wings off to return to the human world and be with Eren. The lord allows Levi back into the heavens as Levi did what he must to be with his love. but instead of getting his white wings back he now had one white and one black. they become known as 'the wings of freedom'
