Phil didn't necessarily mind being called flower boy. I mean why would he? Flowers are pretty and they smell nice so what could possibly be so horrible about that? It turns out nothing is wrong with the name "flower boy" it's quite nice in fact, just the boy himself.

"Phillip you need to go out more." His mother commented one day after school. "Mum, i'm fine please stop." Phil sighed. "No, you're antisocial phil it's not healthy." His mother argued. Phil thought it was funny, ironic even his mum could call him 12 different names in less than five minutes and not find any thing out of the ordinary. "Yeah whatever." Phil said sarcastically. "I'm serious." His mother said sternly "You never leave this house unless you're going to school and even then you put up a fight, sweetie i'm worried. There she was with another name. Phil mentally noted.

"Yeah, what does that say about the public school systems." phil murmured. "Besides theres really no point in leaving home. I have everything i could possibly want and or need here." Phil gestured to his laptop and bag of crisps sat in front of him.

The truth wasn't that Phil didn't want to go outside it was just that he was scared to. Don't get me wrong he wasn't one of those freaks who are terrified by the thought of the sun. He saw dead people. The thought of seeing, well ghosts might sound appealing to you but it's not all that great. Once you meet a ghost they could get emotionally attached to you and might follow you around everywhere. That didn't always happen, i guess they all thought he was quite off putting or something but it has happened before and he knows it could happen again. And let me tell you having someone stare at you while doing something even as simple as peeing is quite embarrassing and intimate.

"Just promise me you'll do something before friday?" His mother desperately asked.
"Can I have 5 pounds? I'm going to go out and have "fun"." Phil asked

"Go to the park or something, get some fresh air or something." she said while handing him E8.50

"Thanks." He mumbled on his way out.

You wouldn't think ghosts would go to someplace as innocent as a park would you? Kids ages from 2-20 were sat all around. Swinging or sliding some were just watching everyone else have fun. One particular spirit caught phil's eye. The boy couldn't have been older than 23. He was lying on the picnic table stretched out watching the clouds. He couldn't have died that long ago considering his clothes looked sort of recent. Navy blue jumper black jeans and white converse. Phil didn't know why he did what he did next or what was going through his mind but he did.

"Honestly I don't get why people waste so much time looking at clouds anyways." Phil said it's just water you know?" The boy looked slightly confused.
"Who are you?" The boy looked sceptical. "I'm Phil, a medium." Phil replied.
"Okay that's nice Phil but I don't care what size clothes you wear." He said sarcastically making Phil chuckle. "No." Phil giggled "A medium is where you can see, feel and hear dead people or ghosts." "Oh." The boy replied shyly.

"I'm dan."

"What's your story?" Phil asked. "Nothing to interesting. 22 year old ex law student,I like flowers and stuff." Dan mumbled. "Whats your favorite type?" Phil asked trying to be polite. Dan's whole attitude changed knowing someone cared enough to ask. "Actually those are my favorite over there." Dan pointedto a bush of "chocolate cosmos" that phil and a couple other people had planted. "Really? No way those were my aunts favorite too. We actually planted them for her after she passed." "Oh, well um i'm sorry i guess?" Dan said confused

"Do you see her a lot?"
"Not anymore. I can't technically force spirits to pass on so she wanted to stay just not with me." Phil shrugged.

"So you mean I could stay here forever?" Dan asked. "I mean yeah you could but I don't know why you would want to."
"I mean it's probably so much nicer wherever you go next."

"Wait! So does that mean god doesn't exist? Or are you like the modern day god? Bloody hell i'm confused." Phil giggled "No i'm not god! And honestly i doubt it but i don't know where you go next so I mean it could be god or whatever." Phil said quietly. "This is all so weird. I kinda like it here though." Dan smiled making Phil smile back.
