You Don't Even Know Me

I am your daughter's best friend, but you can't get past the possiblity of one detail about me.

We sit next to each other, but  you don't know anything about me.

You don't even know me, but you act as if you do. Guess what, you don't, so just let it be.

Just like the song "Let It Be" by The Beatles, just whisper words of wisdom and just let it be.

I am a poet. But I am not that reat of one.

I am a writer. I'm not extremely great, but I'm getting there, especially because I want people to hear me through the words I speak on paper.

I am a singer. I'm not a heartthrob, but I still enjoy doing it.

I am a musician. I'm not that great, nor a heartthrob, but I enjoy it.

We are classmates, yet you pretend that you know me, but you don't.

Get to know me better,b ecause who knows what might happen.

Don't act like you truly know me because people change bit by boring little bit every single day, including you and I.

Who knows. I might surprise you with something that I might say or something that I might do.

I am that kid in your school that tries to be nice to people as much as possible.

I am that kid in your school that hates and wants to kill everybody that pisses me off, but I won't.

I am that kid who has severe depression, gender dysphoria, anger issues, anxiety and possible ADD.

I am one of those kids in your school that is transgender.

I am that kid in your school that is a wallflower - a person who is quiet and watches from the sideline.

I am that kid who loves horror, sci - fi and fantasy type of movies and shows the most.

I am someone who listens to multiple genres of music.

I am a former cutter and I regret doing it.

I pick at my skin because of stress.

I have had binge eating disorder since 3rd grade.

I am a nail bitter because of anxiety and stress.

I am a Unitarian Universalist and a Wiccan.

I don't believe that I am better than anybody else nor should you.

I am a man, no matter what anybody else says.

I listen to artists ranging from Lady Antebellum to Eminem to Katy Perry to bands like Of Mice And Men and Suicide Silence.

I am that friend that will stick up for my friends no matter what.

People who make jokes out of LGBT people, rape, the Holocaust and things like that are the kind of people that I DON'T want to be friends with.

I am 50% Sicilian Italian, 25% Irish and 25% Scottish on my mom's side while I'm 25% Scottish, 25% British, 25% Greek and 25% German on my "father's" side.

I am Skylar Fitzgerald and I am just a motherfucking human being. I know who I am.
