CHAPTER 10

Yes. The time had finally arrived, Boarding school for the first time. Not many girls were in boarding in my college. We were only 10. i was happy that Kate,my buddy was also with me in boarding.

I was done with my packing. The reporting time was 6.

It had to rain.

So i stood out waiting for dad to reverse the car.

Yes, Quentin stood out too waiting for his dad to reverse the car. So we just looked at each other and smiled, We were anyways going to the same place.

Mom looked at me," Think about it! Why do you want to go? She started again."

"Mom.Mom.Mom... I said stopping her. i told you i need a change."

"yea." She wanted to say so much more but she just did not find it a right time to. I let it go.

When i sat in the car i just looked behind, my house. i had tears in my eyes but it was high time i wanted to get out my lonely and unhappy past.

College was not that far, not more than a 10 minute drive.

Quentin and me reached almost at the same time, We unloaded our respective luggages, yes me being a girl had luggage more than Quentins.

Mom and Dad helped to get the luggage to my Dorm. Room number 29A. I looked up for my name in the list and it said : Room 29A Lily Jacobsen and Kate Murphy.

I was so happy and then yes i looked up for Quentins, I was fate or destiny? The list said: Room 29B Qunetin Pemberton and John Thomas.

the dorm building was just weird. As i entered my room i saw a huge window next to the bunk bed. I looked out and what i could see is someones room, opposite. i seems it was two different building but it wasn't. I said goodbye to mom and dad. They left me alone in the room. I stated unpacking my luggage. It hardly took me anytime.

I sat on the bunk bed, played a song in the iopd and looked out of the window. It felt so lonely till Kate entered with her luggage.

She saw me and hugged me.

"Hi!" I said in a low voice.

"Hi! Bæ!" She said.

"You already unpacked?" She asked me.

"Yea." I said.

"Upper one is mine." She said.

"which ever." I said with a smile.

"Okay! then let me unpack now." and she started off.

I just recklessly looked out. I was hardly interested in anything. Kate spoke to me for a while and then stopped, she understood that i wanted some time.

Just then... the window opposite opened and both of our eyes turned towards it and.. It was Quentin and john.

Kate and me were just staring at both of them, We both were so dumb struck, We looked at each other and there was this bright smile we had on each others face.

Quentin gave me a smile, I smiled back. We could talk properly through those windows. I could se what he was doing and so could he. I realised that Quentin took the bottom of the bunk bed same as mine, So was with Kate and John.

Kate and John were in the same class. Quentin and me were in the same class.

Our classes were different.

"We have to be neighbours in everything." Quentin said across the window.

I turned," Haha, Yeah looks like."

"NEIGHBOURS.. *cough* *Cough* " Yes yes that has to be Kate.

"Too much i see." John said.

Quentin and me had nothing to do but blush.

"shh Kate." I just could not stop blushing. Kate gave me those looks.

"When your done lets meet." Quentin said, Both of us were sitting on our beds.

"Yea. But don't we have to go to the Dinning hall?" I reminded.

"Of ya." He said.

It was my first ever time in boarding, i wasn't excited but yes i was much serious with what was going to happen with me.

About an hour we went for Dinner.

Kate and me entered the dinning hall. We got ourselves food and all we talked about was our rooms, Quentin and John.

We sat together and we had a bench opposite us and so we realised that Quentin and John seated themselves there.

Kate and me could not help looking at each other. *with Kates creepy smile* (Yes kate had this creepy smile i adored alot and she knew it! She though it was stupid but she would always make me smile and laugh with that smile)

"So how are you feeling?" John asked Kate and me.

"Its just Day 0, lets see how it works." Kate said.

I kept quiet not saying anything.

"You're okay?" Quentin asked me.

"Yea.Yes." I replied.

John and Kate kept talking but Quentin and me remained silent, He was silent cause i was not saying anything. While we ate Quentin's eyes were only on me, even after several disturbances he kept looking at me, but i in turn did not look back.

After we were done, all four of us walked together to our rooms, Quentin just looked at me and walked in my silence, We were accompanied with John and Kate who talked about the silence.

Quentin and John came up to our rooms and when i entered my room Quentin just said," Good Night Beautiful, Bye, Take care and don't worry i am there, see you tomorrow." And his bright smile.

"Bye, Good Night." I said with a smile. John and Kate just looked at what was happening, Quentin and John turned and walked bcd to their rooms while Kate and me entered the room.

I sat on the bed, Kate opened the Window.

I felt that Quentin and John had entered their room but i just did not want a look.

My head rested against the pole of the bed, Quentin sat on his bed looking at me. I had fallen for him. I didn't know.

We Spent the night then, looking at each other, not saying anything not talking anything, I simply stared at him and so did he.

It was soon 4 and then we went off to sleep.

I didn't know hoe next morning would be. I just prayed and closed my eyes with Quentin on my mind.
