“Okay, you stay here, I won’t be long.” George nodded his head simply and I got out his car and walked over to Conor’s front door. I knocked 3 times and waited for him to answer. I only waited roughly 10 seconds before the door cracked open and I saw him standing in just a pair of track suit bottoms. He looked surprised to see me.

“(Y/N)? Aren’t you meant to be in hospital?” his eyebrows furrowed and he looked confused as to why I was here.

“Yeah but I couldn’t stand to be there any longer, it was killing me in there, look can I come in? We need to talk…” Conor’s face turned worried, he knew what was coming after he heard me say the words no one in a relationship wants to hear. ‘We need to talk’ these three words hardly ever lead to anything but a break up.

“I’m not going to listen to you if you’re going to break my heart (Y/N), I love you so much, too much even. I am not going to let you just walk away from me, not after everything we have been through.”

“Conor, I think it would be for the best-” he cut me off before I could finish.

“Be best for who (Y/N)? You? Well what about me? I know you love me you’re just afraid of the future. Well we’re not in the future yet are we (Y/N), we’re in the present. You don’t know what the future holds so why are you so afraid of it? The best thing is, we have a slight control over what our future holds and right now, I’m scared of mine.”

“I-I don’t know what to say…” I looked down at my feet not wanting to look at him.

“Because you know I’m right (Y/N), I love you, more than words can say, I know you love me, after all we’ve been through, all the love I’ve given you, you are just afraid. But let me help you and make all your fear disappear, I will always look after you and love you (Y/N), don’t let me lose the one thing I truly care about.” A tear ran down my face as I realised everything he’s been telling me is true. He lifted his hand to my cheek and brushed away the falling tear.

“Do you want to know the thing I’m most scared about and that’s making me act like this?” I looked at him deep in the eye.

“Tell me.”

“I’m afraid of losing you. Of you going on tour and hardly seeing you. I’m afraid that I’m not going to be good enough for you anymore. And most importantly…I’m afraid of you not loving me anymore…” My eyes had dropped from his gaze and when I didn’t look up at him his index finger reached under my chin and made me look at him.

“One, I’m not going anywhere, Two, I will do whatever it takes for us to see each other as much as possible, Three, you will always be my (Y/N) and will always be good enough for me, if not better and four, I will always love you (Y/N), no matter what happens.” His lips touched mine ever so slightly and I leaned in so we were closer and the kiss got more intense. Eventually, our lips parted as we gasped for air.

“I love you Conor Paul Maynard.”

“And I love you (Y/F/N).” Our lips touched once again but it was short.

“You should really be in hospital right now though. Your unstable to be out of there so soon.” I sighed at his words.

“I couldn’t stay there any loner, I would have gone crazy, George is taking me back to Brighton now, I need to see my mum and tell her everything’s alright.” He nodded his head slightly.

“Well I’ll visit you soon then, as soon as I can.” He pulled me in for a hug and rested his chin on the top of my head. “I love you so much beautiful.” His words made my heart flutter and he squeezed me before he released his grip on me. I walked to George’s car but turned around before I got in.

He was not expecting the words I was about to say. “I trust you Conor.” I slowly got in George’s car and drove down Conor’s road.
