"Open the door. Roger open the door" my brother yelled from the other side of the door. He was pounding the door so fiercely I was surprised it didn't budge open yet.

I ignored him and continued walking towards the window sill of my bedroom. I got onto it slowly-having an unknown feeling in the bottom of my gut - I griped the sides and steadied myself so I was standing. I took a look down. It ground was so far down. But I wanted to do this. I wanted to die. I put one of my foot forward and let it dangle. Slowly I put my left hand forward. And then I jumped down, the air rushing through me. My stomach churned and I was going to hit ground any moment. I braced myself and closed my eyes.... just a meter.....

I jerked forward and opened my eyes and looked around me. I was on my bed breathing and sweating heavily. Thank the lucky stars- that was just a nightmare. I sigh of relief escaped me and I looked toward the window. The curtains were billowing fiercely in the night breeze coming in through the open window. But I clearly remember that I had closed the windows while sleeping on the command of my mother as she said there will be lots of mosquitoes as we are surrounded by trees and everything. Then how...?

Maybe Greg came in to check on me and opened the windows.

Yeah, that should be it. I turned over on my side and closed my eyes preparing myself to go to sleep once more. But sleep didn't hit me like it did earlier in the night. A glass of water could do. But then I'd have to move my ass down the stairs and back up. "Be active" my mom's voice ringed in my years. I got up and slipped on my slippers.

With the help of the torch and my mom gave me earlier before bed to go to the bathroom or something, I opened my bedroom door and stepped outside. With the torchlight directed towards the floor I made my way down the corridor towards the steps.
