A/N: Heyyyyyyy! Here's a poem for Maedhros as suggested by @adriani I hope she likes it! Tell me how to improve!!!!
I wanted to make him proud, all I wanted was peace
To reclaim the jewels we lost, for all this violence to cease
It seemed to us a smaller price, a simple fix to make
Our swords were out with shining blades, so many lives to take
A drop of red won't go so far, we didn't even shiver
Yet a single drop will multiply, will turn into a riverNow what use is power and gold, the glory that we sought?
It lasted only a little while, but after blood-shed broughtI'm sick, I feel, I can't go on, the way that I have done
But when I try to turn my back, the Oath will press me on
I'm trapped I fear, no where to go, my heart is torn in two
A painful feeling, a searing heat, I know what I must doAfter all what point is there, delaying what must come?
I can't turn back, I can't move on, the Oath has made me numb
This is it, I will not last, to face the gems great ire
The holy jewels still sear my hand, the feeling worse than fireI tried at least, to do things right, but the words were mostly talk
So I say farewell to only one, who on the shores will walk
A/N: So what did you guys think? I know it's not the best poem in the world, and if there's anything I can do to improve it, just tell me.
