Sunday, December 13th. 8:30 [Skye:]
The curtains were quickly closed as people in the audience gasped, some fake gasps, some real. Michael rushed over to me to see if I'm okay.
Now I know what to say if anyone ever asks me what my most embarrassing experience was. I'll just say "Oh, I was doing a Broadway play, it was the second showing, and oh I don't know, since I was the star of the show, everything was great. The problem is I lost my breathe for no apparent and fainted onstage. Right in the middle of a song." God it's so embarrassing.
"Is she okay?" I heard someone say as footsteps came closer.
I had just started to wake up, and I could just barely hear people speak. I knew that Michael was beside me though, because I felt his hand gently brush against my arm and heard him say my name a couple of times.
"What happened?!" I heard the director yell.
I opened my eyes and tried to sit up, looking around me. I hoped me fainting in the middle of Ten Minutes Ago was just a dream, but I knew it wasn't when I saw the entire cast surrounding me, asking if I was okay.
"Oh my god." I said, trying to breathe, I put my hand over my chest, hoping the pains would go away. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. I-"
"Don't worry about the show, Skye. We're worried about you. What happened?"
"I don't know. I just suddenly couldn't breathe and my chest started to hurt real bad. I-" I paused to catch my breath. "I didn't know what happened."
"We need to get you to the hospital." Michael said and I looked at him.
"You're the only one that knows all of Topher's lines. You don't have an understudy. Melanie can take over for me, but you need to stay so the show can go on." I said and squinted my eyes shut, hoping all of this would go away.
"I heard what happened. Michael, give me the jacket." Ashton said as he came onstage.
"Ashton? I thought you quit acting." Michael said.
"Well, I was in the audience on a date, and I saw what happened. You go with Skye to the hospital, I'll take over."
All I can remember is that the director announced what happened and said that Melanie Charter would be taking my place whilst Ashton Irwin took Michael's place, and that I would be okay. Anything after that I couldn't remember.
I woke up to beeping sounds, that sounded like some sort of monitor.
"What's going on?" I whispered and opened my eyes.
It was a monitor that I was hearing. I was in the hospital, and they were obviously monitoring my heart.
"You fainted, then complained with shortness of breath and chest pains." Michael said and I glanced at him.
"What about the show?" I asked. When I looked at him, I noticed he was still partially in costume. He still had the black dress pants and white button up shirt, just not the jacket. Ashton must've gotten the spare shirt and pants, then got the jacket from Michael.
"It should be ending any minute now. Melanie and Josh said they were coming to check up on you. They also said that a few others might come tomorrow or something." Michael said and I sighed.
"I'll still be here tomorrow?"
"Yeah. On the bright side, I'm staying here with you."
"You don't have to. So, what's wrong with me?" I asked.
"You have severe asthma and arrhythmia." Michael explained.
"And what is arrhythmia?" I questioned.
"Abnormal heart rhythms." He said.
"What're they going to do about it?" I asked.
"Well, for the asthma you get a medicine called Singulair once every day, and you will have a rescue inhaler for when you have asthma attacks."
"And for the heart problem?"
"They're going to operate on you. You're going to get a pacemaker."
