Saturday, December 12 7 PM.

"I guess we'll just have to postpone the show. Oh my god I can't believe this happened." Skye's director said to one of the other actors.

"Wait, wait! What are you talking about? What happened?" Skye said.

"Luke fell down his stairs and broke his arm and leg, so we don't have our Prince Topher." The director said.

"What about the understudy? Ashton?" Skye said and the director sighed.

"He decided that he wanted to quit acting for a couple of years, so he refused to fill in for Luke tonight. We have to wait months and months for Luke to heal up, and we don't have anyone that knows all of the lines." The director said and sighed.

"Wait! You don't have to postpone the show! I can do it! I can fill in for Luke!" Michael said and ran up to where Skye and the director were.

Most of the actors were already in costume, there was only ten minutes until show time.

"You know all of Prince Topher's lines?" The director said, not believing that the blonde would be able to act as Charming.

"I do. I've been coming to most of the rehearsals and watching. Plus, I go over the script with Skye a lot. I know all of the lines." Michael said.

"Can you even sing?" The director questioned.

"Well, I-"

"I've heard him sing! He had an angelic voice! Now, go get him dressed! We have a show starting in 6 minutes." Skye said and the director arched an eyebrow before grabbing Michael's arm and taking him into the dressing room.

"Are you sure that you can do this?" The director said as he gave the costume to Michael.

"I can do it. I promise. I won't let you down." Michael said as he quickly undressed and changed into the first costume.

"You better not. The show starts in 4 minutes. I'm going to go make an announcement. You know all of the lines?"

"Yes."

"The songs?"

"Yes."

"The placements and dances?"

"Yes."

"Okay. I'll be right back. You better be ready." The director said and then ran onstage, in front of the velvet curtains.

"I am so sorry for the late start tonight, everyone. We had a few complications with a cast member getting majorly injured and not being able to make it, and we struggled to get someone to fill the part. But, even though your playbills say that Lucas Hemmings portrays Topher, and Ashton Irwin is the understudy, neither of them will be participating in the show tonight. So, tonight we have Michael Clifford as Topher, tonight being his Broadway debut. So, tonight I proudly present to you, Roger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella!" The director announced.

Later, 10:55.

"Oh, Michael! You were so great tonight! I'm so proud of you!" Skye said as she wrapped her arms around Michael's neck.

"Thanks. I tried. I didn't want you to be disappointed about not being able to do the show. So I filled in for Luke." Michael said as he took off the costume jacket.

"I've got to go change." Skye said as she backed away for a moment.

"Okay. I need to change too. When's the next show?"

"Tomorrow night. Welcome to Broadway, Clifford. Once you come in, you never get out."

"Mhm, sure. I did a little bit of acting when I was in school." Michael said.

"Yeah, but that wasn't Broadway."

"True."
