Chapter 6

I woke up at around 2pm and took a shower. I put on an MDE tee and black jeans. I grabbed my phone and ran out the door, running into the woods, where I found Sawyer's house. I knocked on the door and checked my phone. I turned my phone off as I was greeted by Sawyer's mom.

"Hey Mrs. Koretz" I said smiling. She smiled back and allowed me in the house. I sat on the couch and Sawyer walked in from the door to the hallway that led to his room.

"You scared the crap out of me"  he said, jumping up.
"Sorry" I reply quietly.

Sawyer's mom ordered a pizza and left for work. We played GTA V and ate the pizza in Sawyer's den until around 5pm.

It soon got awkward and a silence grew.

"So, what happened with Brianna? Did you, ah, tell her?" I ask quietly, my had awkwardly twitching.

"Yeah. I told her, of course, but, she had good news before I told her" He said.
"What was it?" I asked, feeling a bit intruding.
"She has been telling me about how she sent an application to the, ah, author that writes Harry Potter books. She follows a forum, hah" he replies, a slight chuckled escaping his lips. "The author is writing another series, and they needed someone that knows a lot about the books. She got accepted" he says, a smile creeping on his face.

"I'm happy for her" I say, smiling.
"She flies out to the building's area to get a feel of writing in two days, she said if she enjoys it, she has an uncle from her dad's side that lives there. She might stay" he said sadly.

"It's a huge opportunity for her, okay? It'll be great on her record, and who has the chance to help write a series of their favorite books? No one, exactly" I say. Sawyer cheers up and I get a text from Nico.
The squad's heading to Chuck E Cheese if you want to join. Ask Sawyer as well, considering he lives so close to you.

We agreed and called a taxi. We got to the front of the building and split the pay. When we got out, we saw Brittany throwing tokens at Alyssa and Reese throwing tokens at Dalyla from the glass doors.

"HEY GUYS!" We yelled excitedly. They jerked their heads toward us and ran to hug us.
When we got in Nico came over and paid for our admission and tokens, but Sawyer and I had to pay for the pizza.

We sat down out the two booths we used. Nico, Mason, Sawyer and I sat at table 4, and Brittany, Dalyla, Reese and Alyssa sat at table 20, so we were opposite of each other on both sides of the booth rows.

"WE'RE SO MLG" Reese screamed.

I paid for an extra large "ches" pizza, which Reese called it, and Sawyer ordered the other. We played on all of the rides and settled down to eat "fud".

While eating, Brittany and Alyssa would occasionally whisper "Gregory" to each other, and it definitely freaked us out.

At around 9pm we left and decided to hang out at Nico's house. We sat on the couch and watched Doctor Who and Supernatural until we all left over time.

Sawyer offered to walk me home so I accepted. We were eating the leftover pizza from Chuck E Cheese as we walked. Sawyer got a call from Brianna.
"Hey Brianna" He said into the phone, putting it on speaker. "Dom's here, too"

"Hey fam" I said.
"Hey guys, ah, I'm gathering the squad tomorrow at the mall before I leave, I'm sure Sawyer told you about the whole Harry Potter thing, yeah?"

"Yeah. Congrats, by the way!" I say smiling, even though she can't hear me.
"Thank you. So anyways I'm just gonna have a going-away party tomorrow, and then I have to talk with my teachers either early tomorrow or after the party" She says.
We tell her we'll be there and she ends the call.
We finish walking home and I smile. His hand and my hand slowly touched a few times, but we just jerked them back. Soon later we just gave up and held hands the rest of the way.
