It was a night like this one and I was with my brother Kieran. He wasn't biologically but we were raised together in the kingdom without parents. Certain vampires were chosen to live in the castle with the royals. We fought for our place there, went through competition every day until the strongest of all were chosen. Kieran and I were at the top of this list, and the whole kingdom up till this day still don't know who of us is the strongest.
We got called in to the kingdom, and the Queen, her highness none other than the bitch Lianna commanded us to get Bellas heart, Averlines mother.

Kieran and I raced through the forest on our way there. "Should we take them out quick or take it slow?" He asked, with wickedness. "We'll take them out quick" I sighed. I hated killing, but I had to obey the queen or else that was the end of me.
We stood there in front of the window, looking into our victims house. A man and a woman smiled over their new born baby girl. So happy for the new member of their small family.
I felt for them, and decided it was best to leave it. "Kieran... no, let's let them be" I said walking back. He exhaled loudly "Thank God you stopped me before I did it" I loved my brother. From day one we were always so close. I knew he was hurt that he hadn't obeyed the queens orders. They had something for each other, they just never admitted.
"Vince, why of all families did you choose this one to be spared?" He asked but before I could answer I heard screams coming from the house. When we both turned back we saw one of Liannas messengers, Jesse. Kieran and I ran for it and grabbed Jesse by his neck before he could do any damage to his preys. He backed away holding the baby girl. "Jesse what are you doing here?" I asked calmly. "You're assignments are still breathing brother" he said with his eyeballs turning black. I guess that was his face when he got mad. I saw Kieran slowly approaching him from the back. "Jesse, look" he turned back, Kieran and I both ran for it. Kieran's fangs went deep into Jesses shoulders and he threw the baby up when it came down, she landed straight into my arms. "I'll take care of Jesse you deal with the family" Kieran said and he ran off with a struggling Jesse.
The baby was still in my arms. I looked into her beautiful green eyes and smiled. Her mother looked at me, with soft and loving eyes. "I didn't get your name young man, thank you so much" I didn't reply but instead went off to find Kieran and Jesse.
I was following their scent as I was running. Where could they be? Jesses scent was strong and soon I caught him by the neck. "Oh great and mighty Vincent please set me free" he teased. "Where's Kieran?" I asked in a deep voice but inside I panicked. "Tayue I swear he knocked me out and when I got up he wasn't anywhere to be seen. "No Jess, don't swear because you're such a liar but listen to this. I swear Jess, if you don't tell me in the seconds left I'm giving for you to live, I'll snap your neck" I was so worried inside but my face didn't show a thing. "Vincent I don't know" he struggled to lose my grip but both my hands grabbed hold of his neck and snapped it . I grabbed a hold of his heart and took it with me. His body was in two. I wiped the blood off my face and stood there in darkness. "BROOOOTHEEER?" I screamed "KIEEEEERAAAAAN?" I shouted out but I only heard my voice echo.
I would've said I felt sad, but I was taught that we don't have emotions, and I trusted Kieran so there was nothing to worry about so I left.

The palace doors opened and there she was, sitting in her high chair. She was so evil. "Here you are my queen, the heart of your victim, Bella" I lied. "Excellent work Tayue, I will hold a feast, not only to my victory but a farewell to you, my mighty warrior." She smiled evilly. I turned to walk away when she asked "so where is Kieran?" She had an unreadable expression on her face. "We had a little argument and he ran off I don't know where" I lied again, I wasn't used to doing this. "Well at least I know who the strongest is between you two, it was always obvious though" she laughed. "Lianna that boy loved you and here you are putting him down" I was angry with what she said. "No he didn't Vincent. I think you've forgotten what I told you all vampires do not love! They do not feel at all! So do not lecture me with your love nonsense because we could never feel it, and besides you're the one who was supposed to go after him, and hey? Why didn't you? Hmm" she turned away and I stormed off.
That night stones were being thrown to my window and I heard someone whispering from outside. "Juliet? Ohhh Julieeeeet?"
I knew who it was; Kieran.
I opened my window and I was so relived to see him. "Get inside Kieran I miss your dumbass"
I saw him walk through my window and we never brought up the Bella case. Until now.
