As your reading your book, you hear 3 quiet knocks. You walk up to the door slowly. As you finally reach it.
You look through the door hole you see Cameron standing in the hall. You haul the door open just to run into his arms.
As you ran up to him you heard him weep into your shoulder as you hug him. You take a step back and ask what's wrong.
He sniffles and whips his eyes. He says in a quiet but deep voice "I have to speak to you". You get concerned and ask what it is. You guide him into the living room and sit beside him.
He takes a deep breath and pauses for a minute he says to you "I don't know how to say this, but"
Just before he can say anything else you scream at him "but what, I need to know cam"
"I'm going to join the army, I'm so sorry baby"
You look at him in disbelief, all your thinking is that it's impossible. You start to go white and feel sick, you worry about your baby boy.
He grabs you close, you feel his warm body close to yours.
The tears run down your face. He notices and wipes them away he says in a shallow voice "I'll always be with you coconut"
*his nickname for you is coconut or my little cherry pie*
You smile and cuddle him tighter. He says to you "your my little cherry pie aren't you" you give a little giggle.
You don't want to let go of you baby boy. You ask when he is leaving.
He sighs "baby I'm leaving tomorrow"
You jump and scream at him "WHAT, why did you not tell me before"
"Coconut, I didn't want you to get upset and talk me out of it, I want to do this" he says
"What time are you leaving, I want to spend the rest of the day together" you say with more tears running down your face.
"Babe I'm leaving at 10 in the morning"
