The Birthday Party - Part 1

Liana's POV

"Shrieeek!!" The car made a halt when I had apply a sudden break."WTF!!! I hit a boy? OMG!! No, no "I whispered.

I was scared I had hit a boy. I was so furious at the moment. I didn't see anything because of my anger. I shouldn't have drove my car in high speed., I cursed myself.

He was lying on the ground. I could see him from my car's window.' Did I kill him' my hands were on the steering wheel and I was shivering.

After a few seconds, I was now back to my own sense. I went out of the car and approached him. He was still lying on the ground. Then I could see movement in his body. "Thank God!!" I sighed.

"You dumb head!!!! Don't you know how to walk on a road? didn't you realise that a car was approaching near you?! "I snapped. I didn't realise I was so irritated at the moment. I noticed that he was about to say something him but I cut him off " Oh yes!! How will you even hear when you have stuffed your ears with those stupid earphones..!!?? "now I was totally pissed and without thinking once I turned towards the place where my car was.
" Crack!! "I heard a sound. I jolted and realised that I have stamped on a pair of spectacles.
" Noo!! "he cried..
" I am sorry I didn't know I didn't intend to break it "I said as guilt ran through me.
" Those were my favourite and you!! "he spat on me and began to walk away.
I was froze for a moment before I realised that it was actually my fault. I was not driving carefully.
I tried to stop him but he just gave me a cold look and started walking further. Before I could realise I was again in front of him chasing him . At that moment a strong breeze passed us making my hair to come over my face. He unknowingly pulled a strand of it tugging it behind my ear. I just stared at him in shock. And then he left without another word leaving me in total amazement.....

I was sitting on my couch in my living room. Beside the love of my life.

Yes you heard it right.. My one and only love Cocoa. He is really naughty and always in a mood to play with me. He had beautiful brown coloured hair which perfectly suited his big dark black eyes.He was an Irish Setter. And obviously a dog.
But calling him my 'love' was more preferable for me than calling him a 'dog'.He was my best friend and although he couldn't speak but he was a really patient and a good listener to me and I could share everything making me feel free of burden.

Suddenly my eyes gazed towards my wrist watch. "It's already 9:30 pm!!!! OMG!!!, I gotta leave now. Kiera must be really angry!! She will kill me!" I yelled out of panic.
Kiera is my college friend. Today is her 20th birthday party and obviously I was invited. She had booked a club for it and was suppose to start exactly from 9:00 and now I am half an hour late already.

Hurriedly I opened my wardrobe and picked out a backless red dress which perfectly showed my curves and hugged my body like my second skin. It sat perfectly on my mid thigh. Then I picked my new red stilettos that went perfect with the outfit.
I rushed over to the mirror to work on my hair next.
I straightened it and held it high to tie it in a high pony tail. Then I simply applied on my mascara and little bit of dark brown shade of eye shadow making my grey eyes pop out..
. I took my red lipstick and swiftly applied it. I put on my big dangles and then taking a quick glance in the mirror I grabbed my diamond studded silver coloured clutch putting in my cell phone and some needed stuffs along with the car keys and stormed towards the parking lot..

Kevin's POV.

"Beep beep!! "my phone alerted me when I was outside my apartment. I entered my code, went in and lit up the lights of my living room. There was a text message in my cell phone but I didn't bother to read it.

It was already dark outside. I had been late as my car was at the garage due to some mechanical problems.

I went upstairs towards my bedroom, unlocked it and slid inside. I kept my books on the glass table near my bed. I wanted to start reading it right away but then I went to the bathroom to have a quick refreshing shower.

Few minutes later I was out of my bathroom wearing a bathrobe. I grabbed my cellphone which was on my bed. I didn't even remember when did I put it there.

I had received a text from Sid which I didn't bother to look at earlier.
As I was about to call him my phone rang startling me suddenly. It was Sid calling me.
"Hey "I spoke as I received his call.
"Kevin where were you?? Didn't you get my text?? "my friend screamed from the other end.
" Uhh, yes I did and I was about to read it but then you called me at the same time."
"Okay listen to me Kevin I need your help!!! "he said panickly .
" what help?? "I wondered what he wanted from me.

" I've got a birthday party invitation today from a girl named Kiera. She is from our college and we've been hanging out together since few weeks ago!! "he said in a happy tone.

" So what do you need from me??"I asked confused. But when he again replied me it totally made me frown
"actually I'm confused for her gift. I really don't know what to get for her. So I need your help please. "

I was just going to bash his face. How did he even expect me to help him out with gifts and that too for girls!!!
" How can I help you with that? I've never been with any girl so I don't know what they like to have for a gift Sid..!! "

" It doesn't matter whether you've been with a girl or not. You just get ready and I am coming to pick you up in fifteen minutes. I don't wanna listen anything. You are gonna help me and no more arguments. Bye.!! He just hung up.

I sighed unable to say no. I really wanted to just flop into my bed and read those new books and he just ruined it.

Ugh!! I groaned..

I moved my pace quickly towards my wardrobe to grab something good. I changed my outfit and then pulled out a pair of converse to go with it. I heard the rustling of the grasses and knew that Sid was here. So I grabbed my cellphone, wallet and locked my apartment before leaving.

Sid was leaning on his car and looked a quiet nervous. It was something new to see him like that.
As I approached him he pulled me in a bear hug.
"Thank you Kevin "he said as we pulled apart.

I returned him a huge grin and slid inside the passenger seat. He also got in and silently drove the cat towards the city.

I leaned back and gazed outside the window remembering the event that took place today.
Suddenly I got a weird feeling inside me. Something was really weird. As I thought deeply it dawned upon me.
"Could this be what I am thinking of??!! "I murmured to myself.

A/N Hello everyone. I'm sorry we are quite late coz of these festivals coming up but we tried to make it fast as possible. I hope you guys liked it.
