For a while it was just the sound of Beck's music and the sound of his fingers on the keys. I was lost in thought when Beck brought me back to my senses.
"Alyssa...what happened when you lost them..." He was being incredibly gentle. I think he was scared of me sometimes and to be honest I'm scared of him too...
"Well I was 15, I had just come back from school. When I got home the door had been forced open. As I walked in everything had been moved or smashed. When I walked in to the living room my dad was on the floor. He'd been shot twice in the head and my mum was lying in the ground holding a wound in her stomach. At the window was this man dressed head to toe in black. Before he jumped out a badge reading Scotland Yard fell out of his pocket. I tried to help mum but it was too late. Their murder went under the radar and was never solved. I'm gonna change that," I didn't realise how determined I sounded until now and I expected to cry but I didn't. Maybe I was really dead inside.
"Well I'm in what were your parents names?" He said grabbing his glasses from the desk.
"Josephine and Kyle Hood." I say moving next to him. He typed the names in and started scanning the pages.
"Well I can't find out exactly who went on the assignment but I can find out who was in charge," he says leaving back.
"Well go on then," I say.
"Well there is minimal information on the case how ever it does say a man named Max Thomas was in charge of the action. Also I've managed to get up his file and funnily enough he lives in elite plaza. 10 minutes from here," he leans back proud of himself.
"Well I guess it's time for a stake out," I smirk at him which he gladly returns.
