Chapter 9

*still at the mall*

"hey Ocean how are things between you and Zayn" I asked my friend with ocean blue hair which is kinda the reason why we call her Ocean

"oh hey guys me and Zayn are doing just fine how are the rest of the boys doing"

"their just fine I guess that since you're here Zayn must be not to far away"

"haha yeah he's over looking at the music at the moment"

"cool I was actually thinking about finding some new music to listen to maybe he could help me out with that if you don't mind that is"

"oh no don't worry I don't mind it'll give me sometime to catch up with Bobby"

"alright then I'll see you guys in a few then"

as I'm heading towards Zayn they both give me a couple of 'see you in a few minutes' and I finally spot the tall boy looking through some of the hip hop and r&b music and I look through the pop as well as some of the alternative metal bands like Pierce The Veil and Bullet For My Valentine and Asking Alexandria and a few Nirvana albums and Zayn finally looks over my way and laughs

"never would have guessed that you're into Metal Bands Catherine" and I give him a small shove

"ugh Zayn you should have known by now that I'm into a mixture of music"

"hahaha true so what brings you here"

"oh just thought I'd get something for Marcel so not much really" I tell him like it's not a big thing

"so are you and Marcel finally going out " he asks me

"uh yeah we are is that bad" I ask him wondering what he is playing at

"no it's actually really nice I just thought that with the situation about your step dad that you'd be to scared of being with someone like him"

"ugh Zayn Marcel isn't going to beat me like my step father would do if he was around me and my mom okay can we just not talk about this please"

"yeah sure sorry I kinda forgot you don't like to talk about your past and people who have hurt you in some way"

"it's fine no worries anyway I should probably get going I told Marcel that I wasn't going to be to long at the mall so I'll see you and Ocean at school yeah"

"yeah sure see you around Catherine"

and with that I walk back over to Bobby and tell her that I want to go back to Marcel so we say goodbye to Ocean and head back to Marcel and Harry's place

"so do you want to tell me what Zayn said back there" Bobby asks me when we stop at a red light

"he asked me if I was dating Marcel and I told him that I am and he..." I nearly choke on my words trying not to cry "he asked about my step dad and if I thought that Marcel was going to turn out just like him"

"oh sweetie you know that Marcel would never do that to you"

"I-i know I just don't understand why some like my step dad could turn out like that"

"I know but hey you have someone like Marcel and Harry to protect you from your step dad yeah" Bobby says while rubbing my shoulder after we park in Marcel's drive way

"I know and thanks Bobby I don't know what I would do without you" I give her a hug before both of us get out of the car and head inside the house

okay I finally got a new chapter up I'm sorry about the wait anyway I had just finished watching this movie called The Age of Adeline and I had been wanting to see it for idk how long anyway the part where she had to put her dog down made me cry because it reminded me of when I had to put my dog down earlier this year kinda around the same time that Zayn left the band I know super sad and weird anyway it's kinda the reason why I wrote in an earlier chapter how Marcel got Catherine a new dog named Charlie and so yeah and when I was writing this authors note I just started crying I guess it was a bad idea for me to listen to the boys old song 'Gotta Be You' ugh I absolutely hate it when I cry about the stupidest things I am such a sap damn it anyway hope you guys like the chapter and there will be more information about Catherine's step dad later on so don't worry about it anyway love you guys stay nerdy laters
