Protect Me?

Chapter 7

Harry's P.O.V

Once I helped her into the car I came around my side and hopped in. "Nice car Harry." Emerald says.

"Thanks, it's a black corvette." I say smiling as I turn it on. It roars a bit and I begin to drive off. We make a little bit of small talk as we inch closer to where I'm taking her.

"Are we there yet?" Em asks.

"Almost but close your eyes, I want it to be a surprised." I say putting my hand over Emerald's eyes. She pushes my hand away giggling and shuts her eyes. I pull up to our destination and get out of the car.

"Harry? Are you there?" Emerald asks.

"I'm right here don't worry." I said helping her out of the car. "Keep them closed!"

"They are closed you idiot!" I laugh as I guide Emerald to the place. I stop her and move a few inches in front of her.

"Open." She opens her eyes and a smile come to her lips.

Emerald'a P.O.V

I opened my eyes and see a beautiful picnic laid out in front of me. "You did this?" I ask.

"Yeah, I did." Harry looks over and I follow his gaze. There's the most beautiful view of the ocean. "Shall we eat?" Harry asked. I nod and sit down on the blanket across from Harry. He lays out everything from sandwiches, fruit, and water. He hands me a sandwich and I thank him.

"So, you can eat other things besides blood?" I ask.

"Yeah but it's kinda complicated." Harry says.

"How so?"

"When I'm somewhat human, like now, I can eat human food. When Im mostly Vampire I drink blood, but either way I need blood to survive. I can't just survive on human food, it doesn't satisfy a Vampire. They need blood to live, that's just our nature." Harry said. I nod and finish my sandwich. We put the food away and I begin to stare out at the ocean. Harry stands up and ask for my hand. I hesitate but give it to him. Harry helps me up and picks me up bridal style.

"Harry what are you doing?" I ask. He laughs and goes over by the water walking into it. I look below me and see the water up to Harry's knees. "You better not drop me Harry." I warn. Harry slowly drops my feet and they hit the cold water. I let go of Harry and splash some water at him. His mouth dropped as I laughed uncontrollably.

"Your dead Emerald!" He smiles and tosses water at me. We both have a huge water war splashing each other till were practically soaked. We run out of there and head for the sand. Harry runs to the car and come back with a huge beach towel wrapped around him. Harry reaches me and opens up the one side of the towel for me. I walk over and go in the towel with him hugging his side. We sit in the sand for a while and watch the sun begin to set. Both of us are about dry now so Harry puts the towel away and grabs the blanket. He lays it down and I crawl onto it. Harry lays down and I find myself laying on his chest with my arm around his stomach. It's about dark now and Harry and I are watching the now dark sky. "Hey Emerald?" Harry asks.

"Yeah Harry?" He looks over at me staring into my green eyes as I stare back into his green ones..

"Could I try something?"

"Depends on what your going to try." I say.

"Trust me." Harry says. Something inside of me makes me want to but somehow I cant. I sit up out of his grasp and cross my arms over my chest. "What's wrong?" He asks.

"I don't know if I can trust you Harry." I say avoiding his eyes.

"I know I hurt you before but I promise you that I won't ever again." His hand grabs my chin gently and makes me look at him. "I promise to protect you from the demon with in me. I won't let it hurt you ever again." Harry says looking deeply into my eyes. A tear slips my eye and I see Harry wiping it away. Harry's hand stays by my face and I see him leaning in and find myself doing the same. His lips crash into mine our lips moving in sync. My arms find themselves around Harry's neck as his hands go to my waist. I could feel the sparks flying. Do I like Harry? Well I can't deny these feeling that Im feeling. I really like Harry. We pull away Gazing into each others eyes. "Want to start heading home?" He asked.

"Sure." I say smiling. He helps me up and carries the blanket and the basket to the trunk. Before I get in Harry turns me around. "Yes?" I giggle.

"Would you do me the honor and being my girlfriend Emerald?" Harry said holding a red rose up. My cheeks go red like the rose and I answer.

"Yes Harry. I'd like that." I say. Harry presses a quick peck to my lips and hands me the rose. I smile and head into the car with the rose in hand. Harry gets in and starts the car. It roars to life and we start heading back home. Once we got there Harry opened my door and helped me out. He found my hand and we untwined them together. The door unlocked and we push it open. The lads are sitting on the couch watching tv. We walk past them and we are greeted by many 'hellos'.

"Hey look what we have here boys, hand holding." Louis says. I blush and let go of his hand,

'I'm going to head to bed, goodnight everyone." I say walking up the spiral stairs.

"Your not going to tell us about the date?" Niall whines.

"Harry can!" I shout from the top of the stairs. I open the door to Harry's door and put all of my new clothes in his closet. I lock the door and change out of my clothes into a cozy band tee and some comfortable shorts.

I unlock the door and crawl into bed. The door opens and I hear it close again. The closet opens and I hear clothes being thrown. I feel the bed dip in and I turn around to see Harry in some sweats and shirtless. Huddle closer to him as his arms wrap around mine.

"Goodnight Em." Harry said kissing my forehead

"Good night Harry." I say smiling.
