-Chapter 5-

-Jonah-

"He's here everyone!" I heard Aurora screech happily from the living room window.

I rolled my eyes as my whole family started to mutter from the kitchen, then I walked to the front door.

I opened the door and faced a smiling Owen. I smiled back shyly.

"Your sisters are a great welcoming committee." Owen joked, making me blush.

"Yeah... They were excited to me you."

"I hope they still are." He teased.

I let him in and we walked to the kitchen.

Serenity ran to Owen right away.

"My sisters and I made you cookies." She said, grinning.

Owen smiled. "Thanks, kiddo. What's your name?"

"Serenity Rose Crowe." She said proudly.

Owen chuckled.

"Well, Serenity Rose Crowe, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Likewise." She said politely. She was so mature for her age.

She ran off into the backyard, were all my family was that lived nearby.

"Come on, everyone's in the backyard." I said.

Owen followed me out, our eyes watching all the sports and food being shared between my many family members.

Owen looked a little nervous, but I smiled and took his hand. "Come on, we'll go meet my parents first. Then you can be tortured by my cousins and siblings." I teased.

He chuckled, which was good enough for me. We walked towards the grill, were my parents were busy sorting the meat.

"Mom, Dad, I want you to meet Owen." I said, which is when the turned around with huge grins.

Owen let go of my hand to shake their hands, which is when I masked the slight sadness, but his hand returned in mine as quickly as possible.

"It's great to meet you, Owen. Jonah talks about you a lot." Commented my mother, which is when my face flushed.

Owen chuckled and smiled. "That's nice to know, Mrs. Crowe."

"Oh, goodness. Call me Poppy, darling. I'm to young to be a Mrs." She cheerily.

"Then call me Chad." Said my father.

Owen smiled and nodded politely.

"Thank you, Chad and Poppy."

We all had a quick conversation, then my cousin Daniel called me over.

I dismissed Owen and I quickly from my parents, then headed over to Daniel and a unfamiliar female.
