-Chapter 9-

-Owen-

I picked Jonah up this morning and I drove him to school. Once we pulled into the parking lot I parked and smiled at Jonah. I looked around our car quietly and realized nobody was around, so I leaned over and gently kissed him. When I pulled back, he smiled at me and we got out of the car. I locked it as we began walking into the school together.

Nobody paid any attention to us, making us chuckle.

We said our quick goodbyes and separated to go to first classes.

I sat down and began working on the assignment.

"Owen?" A quiet voice asked.

I looked up and saw the girl who had asked me out on a date.

"Yes?"

She looked down and blushed.

"Well... I saw you and Jonah Crowe...." She said, trailing off.

I glared at her, growing impatient.

"Yes?"

"Kiss..." She whispered.

I grew anger, about to threaten her, but she quickly cut me off.

"I promise not to tell!" She blurted.

I grew calm, nodding slowly.

"Okay. Good." I confirmed.

She turned to leave, but turned to me once again, blushing.

"My name is Scarlett, in case you wanted to know." She said shyly.

I frowned.

"I didn't."

She blushed, apologizing, them scurrying off.

I walked to lunch, irritated as usual.

"Owen?" Somebody asked behind me.

"WHAT!" I yelled, spinning around to scowl at my next victim.

I turned to see...

Jonah!

Jonah just smiled and laughed, making me blush.

"Who vexed you today?" He teased, walking with me into the cafeteria.

"Just this girl named Delia.... Or something..." I mumbled.

Jonah chuckled.

"Pretty sure we don't have a Delia at this school. Your quite bad with names, now aren't you?" He teased kindly, making me actually crack a smile.

"I suppose. But the only name I need to remember is yours." I countered.

"Touché." Jonah replied, smiling happily.

Soon enough, we were in the cafeteria and heading towards a table to sit together. For the the first time.

We sat down, and I looked around cautiously to make sure nobody was giving us odd looks.
