Julie's P.O.V.
As soon as the words escape Liam's lips, I feel my heart stop. My eyes widen at his words and I just freeze, not being able to say a single word. I feel like I'd just been crushed by a giant boulder and I can't move or speak. I feel like I just got all the air knocked out of me.
I just look at Liam in disbelief, still not being able to say anything. After a moment, the only word that escapes my trembling lips is, "What?"
Liam sighs and says, "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I just found out two days ago and I wanted to tell you but I didn't have the heart to. I'm so sorry. We're leaving tomorrow."
"What!" I say in shock, feeling my throat hurt as tears started to fill my eyes, making my vision blurry. "Why didn't you tell me sooner! We would've had more time to spend together before you move."
"I know, and I'm so sorry. I just couldn't. I knew it would be hard and I just didn't have the courage. Why don't we spend the entire day together before I move," he says with a light smile to try to cheer me up a little.
I quickly wipe away my tears and say in my stuttering voice, "Okay. Let me j-just get r-ready first."
I go back inside and back upstairs to my room, where I pick out a simple light grey t-shirt with jean-shorts and cream-colored ankle-high boots. I quickly put on some light brown eye shadow, mascara, and concealer (my daily makeup routine). I rush down the stairs and leave a note to my parents saying,
I left to hangout with Liam. I'll be back in a few hours. Love you!
Julie
I go back to where Liam is, say, "Okay, let's go" and together, we walk out into the street and head out, trying not to think about what will happen the next day.

"Ha, you were always such a crack up!" I say when we end up eating at a small diner for breakfast. We were talking about the day we met.It was a Monday, and I was on the blacktop near the basketball courts, where there were kids playing and shooting hoops. I was walking near one of the small courts where there was a game going on. As I was walking near it, a fly ball came flying towards me, and I blocked my face with my hands. Right before it hit me, a boy with brown hair and eyes reached out and caught the ball before it hit me. I looked up, and he said, "I just saved your life. You're welcome!" I kindly said thank you and chuckled a little before I walked away. I turned around and saw that he was smiling at me. I blushed a little and continued to walk away.
Soon after that, we became quick friends and talked to each other every day. We became best friends and I've always felt that. But the thing is, I've always liked him as a little more than friends, too.
"Yeah. I was wasn't I?" he says as he smirks at me. I laugh at his humorous gesture and sip my glass of orange juice.
"Yup, those were the days. I can't believe that when you caught that fly ball, that that would be the beginning of our friendship."
"Yeah," he says. "We've gone a long way since."
"Yeah," I say with a sigh. I smile slightly at him and he smiles back. That's what I've always loved about him. His smile lit up the world and always tried to cheer me up during my worst life issues.
After we eat, we decide to go to the park we always used to go to when we were younger. As we walk to the park, Liam puts his arm around me in a nice, friendly way, but I still feel slight butterflies in my stomach. We talk about all the times we've spent together and how much fun we had. We laugh and joke around, and I could feel my eyes water. I was really going to miss Liam.
When we reach the park, we find a small park bench for two and sit on it, staring out into the beautiful park full of blossoming flowers and beautiful trees. As we stare out into the park, I put my head on Liam's shoulder. It always makes me feel better and I always feel safe when I do.
We sit there, and after a while of looking out into the beautiful, green park, I finally say, "I'm really going to miss you, Liam."
"I'm really going to miss you too. But don't worry, we will still be able to call and text each other," he says with a light grin.
"I know. I'm still going to miss you though," I say as a tear escapes my eye.
"Me too," he says, and he puts his arm around me again. I never want this moment to end. I want to stay like this with him forever. Starting tomorrow, we will probably never have another moment like this again.

"Remember to call and text me everyday," I call out to Liam as he and his parents begin to put all their boxes into the moving truck."I will. Remember to do the same."
"I will. Tell me how Iowa is."
"Okay."
"I'll miss you!"
"I'll miss you too!"
"Thanks for being my best friend," I say with a grin, trying to keep myself from bursting into tears.
"And thanks for being mine," he says, trying to hide his already tearing eyes.
I smile as we share our last hug before he slowly walks back into the truck and gives one last grin before going back into the truck. We all wave goodbye as the truck slowly drives away and disappears. Tears escape my eyes and I remember the moment we shared the day before. It's moments like this that I wish he was here, standing next to me and comforting me in the friendliest way. That will probably not happen again. But I hope that I will one day see him again...
