"Come on, please?" My best friend Ashton looked at me with hopeful eyes as he tried to convince me to get out of bed.

"Please? It'll be fun I promise. I won't even make you get on that many rides," He pleaded. We were in my room and he was currently trying his hardest to get me to go to the carnival with him, but I wasn't budging, as I hated going to the carnival. I just didn't like all of the gross cliché couples that went and made out all night or how all the food there was ridiculously unhealthy or how all the rides seemed to make me want to vomit every time I went on them. I just didn't like the carnival.

"No, Ashton I hate the stupid carnival, you know that," I groaned. Ashton and I had been best friends since the 6th grade, when he accidentally went in the girls bathroom and proceeded to pee in one of the stalls whilst I was in one of the others. We got out at the same time, started laughing, and here we are, senior year, still laughing.

"Come on, Jessi. You have to get over this hatred for the carnival sometime in your life. What are you going to do when you have kids and they're begging you to take them? Or when you finally find someone that you like and he wants to go on a date?  You have to deal with it sometime, why not start now?" Ashton finished looking proud with the short speech he just gave, giggling slightly.

"That got too deep too fast," I sighed loudly. "Fine, I'll go."

"Yay! Now hurry up it opens in like two hours and you obviously aren't dressed properly," He scolded.

"Ugh, shut up. You have to get ready too," I replied, looking down at my sweatpants and too-big T shirt and then up at him with an annoyed look on my face.

"Yeah, I do actually. So I'll meet you there at 7:00?"

"Yeah okay," I shrugged.

"Okay. Bye see you there!" Ashton started walking down the stairs but before he left, he yelled, "Don't be late, Jessica Montgomery!"

It was a few hours later and I was standing in my room looking at myself in the mirror, wondering if I should change or not. I was wearing some high waisted shorts with a black crop top that had white daisies all over it. I thought it might be a little cold, due that it was the end of September. I decided just to stay in what I was wearing and started on my hair

Okay hi this is my first book and I'm really excited and I just want you all to know I have no idea what I'm doing, but I do know that this was just kind of a filler chapter and it was short as shit but I needed to start off with something ya feel. Anyway this was the first chapter and it probably sucked but I hope it didn't but anyway bye
