A young woman appears from the shadows with another person who is currently giggling.
"Heyo, my dear readers! So I have gathered all of you today to meet a certain person and her name is... Vermont!" The other person stated excitedly, bouncing around a bit.
"Audrey, I thought I told you not to refer me by my state name," Vermont sighed. "Anyway, I believe I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Clementine Champlain."
"You adopted the last name of the first European explorer who visited your land... Well then," Audrey said with a shrug.
"What do you mean?" Clementine asked. The girl next to her giggled.
"Eh, it's nothing. Now out you go!" She stated and sprinkled sleeping powder on Clementine, causing the state to fall asleep.

And I did some research on Vermont about the history and a little bit about the people (the people in there presently) and stereotypes that originate from there. *slapped* Oh and I have never been to Vermont, so anyone who visited or is from there, please correct me on information. Name: Clementine Champlain. Her last name comes from the French explorer, Samuel de Champlain, who was the first European to claim the land.
Gender: Female
Age: Her human appearance is 21 years old. However, it was claimed by Samuel in 1609, for France. Vermont acquired statehood on March 4, 1791. Her age currently in 2016 would be 407 years old, if we were to refer when she was claimed by the French. If we went by statehood, then she would be 225 years old. // There were natives before the state was explored by the French, who were the Abenaki, Mohican, and Pennacook. They will be receiving their own personifications. //
Hair Colour: Brown
Eye Colour: Green (since Vermont is the "Green Mountain" state)
Likes: Ben & Jerry's ice cream (the company originated from there), farming, cows, tie-dye, her family, scarves, hunting, beer, the cold, maple syrup (Vermont is America's largest producer of maple syrup), nature, creating unique and new things or ideas, being progressive, and many other things.
Dislikes: Being considered a "lazy hippy", war (it makes her feel uncomfortable), being mistaken as one of her siblings, billboards, traffic, being considered a different nationality, any kind of syrup that does not have maple, deforesters, poachers, and homophobes.
