Chapter 24

Our honeymoon was nice and relaxing. We went to Hawaii. The first day, we drove the Hana Highway. The second and third, we took surf lessons. The fourth, we went on a shark dive. The fifth it rained so we stayed at the hotel and played board games. The sixth day, we went surfing again and we left on the seventh. We made sure to plan our honeymoon so that I'd have enough time from when we get back home to when our vacation time at work was up to change Dave. I bit him right after we got settled back in from our trip.  

He woke up about three days after I bit him. His eyes were the same golden tone mine were, and he had no imperfections what so ever on his body. He was gorgeous, there was no other way to describe him. He had probably to most muscular body I'd ever seen, his hair was thick and brown, no grays at all, but short the way I liked it. Everything about him automatically made you stare.  

"Uh, Kait, honey. You're kinda creeping me out by staring like that." He said.  

"Take a look at yourself and tell me why you think I'm staring!" I said, shoving him toward the bathroom mirror.  

"Wow."  

"Just wow? That's it?" I said.  

"What else is there to say?" 

"There's plenty to say!" 

"I know, I know. I'm hot." 

"Yes, you are!" 

"The wonders of vampire venom. Who would have guessed?" 

"Well, look at me. Can't you say that I've changed a lot since I became Viu?"  

"Your looks changed from day one." 

"Exactly. I wonder if you'll have control of Elemental Magic. I think becoming Viu automatically gives you what the Welling's have, magic wise. My grandma isn't a blood Welling and she can control all the elements just like I can." 

"Well, we have work tomorrow. We could try it then. Maybe during lunch."  

"Perfect." 

"Does it feel any better?" He asked.  

"Does what feel any better?" I said, slightly confused.  

"You know, sex."  

"Let's find out." I said, kissing him.
