Chapter 4 ~Introduction~

Zayn's POV

We were just hunting for food that time. We're hungry, for blood. Yes I'm a vampire and they exist.

We went to the streets of London in search for that red liquid to fulfill us when we saw the blonde gal walking towards us in a distance. We decided to hide in an alley she's gonna pass. When she passed, Harry and Niall immediately went to action and made the girl unconscious. We were about to bite her when I noticed a tattoo on her left chest. The same star tattoo imprinted on the diary I have. I told them and we decided to keep her.

I'm sure you're wondering what that diary is. As you can see, I'm the leader of the good vampires. My father, the previous leader, gave me the diary I'm talking about before he was killed by werewolves. That diary consists everything a leader needs to know. From their enemies, the way they should lead their members, up to their mates that will help them.

It turns out that I'm not the one who can kill the leader of the bad vampires we're supposed to kill in order to have eternal peace between us vampires. They caused all the chaos in town before and now, they're planning on doing it again. Back to the story, it's my mate that can kill the leader. And because of that, I needed to find her before the day that bad vampires would start disturbing the peaceful life everyone has now.

According to the diary, my mate would have a star tattoo on her left chest, near her heart. That tattoo is special. Also, my mate could also be another creature. Either she's a demon, an angel, a shapeshifter or maybe, a hybrid but being a vampire would be her main. Another one, since she's the one who is supposed to end the leader's life, the leader would come after her to kill her first.

Oh and did I mention that I have the same start tattoo on my chest? No right? I'm not letting them see that. Not even the boys knew. And yeah, we made her forget what happened. All se know is we "kidnapped" her.

"Earth to Zayn" I heard Liam say. I shake my head, trying to take that star tattoo off my mind.

"Uhm yeah?" I look at him and notice the blonde beauty already finished with her food. "Ni suggested that since she is staying with us, we must get to know each other's names first. Well, maybe only her will be telling a lot since the four of us knew each other so well." He continued. I just nodded and followed everyone to the living room.

Everyone, including I, took a sit on the couch except Liam and Harry.

Harry signalled me to go first. I turn to look at the blonde beauty beside me. "Hi I'm Zayn. Zayn Javadd Malik to be exact." I smiled at her. She nodded in response, smiling slightly as she turn to Niall who started talking.

"Hey there princess! I'm Niall. Niall Horan" He said, smiling. "Sorry I just like calling all girls I met princess. Makes them fall for me everytime" He winks at her and I saw her blush. I can feel myself getting angry.

No one shall flirt with my "mate".

"I'm Liam. Liam Payne. I'm the responsible one here. You can tell me if any of these guys annoy you anytime." He chuckles. I look at the smile on the blonde's face. Beautiful.

"The last but not the least. Harry." He reached out for her hand and kiss it. Okay calm down Zayn. It's respect.

"Harry Styles at your service." He laughs. I heard a giggle and I look back at the blonde to see her giggling. Finally, her turn.

"Well since you're new here, mind if you tell us more than just your name?" I asked and she nods.

"My name's Cyril. Cyril Tomlinson. I'm 18 years old. My parents erm..died and I didn't get to know why and how. I was left with my brother since then and he was very abusive. He beats me everyday which is why I have all these bruises. Yesterday, I decided to run away but you got me that night and here I am now." She explains.

That asshole aka her brother is paying. Wait for the time I know who that is.

"Sorry for making you tell that Cyril" Liam apologized as her eyes starts to water. "We're here to help you and protect you" He said as we all hug her.

Yeah that's right. Protect my mate.
