Four years change nothing

Four years. Four long, dull years. Fabian was still as uninformed as he was when he was eleven. Hugo and Albus were still his best friends and Rose was still as cruel as she was before. Lilly Potter had been sorted in Gryffindor with them. James was in his last year and he was always uptight and would burst into conversation about his future career, which bored Fabian, Hugo, Albus, Lilly and Rose so much that they'd leave until he stopped going on about it.

One seemingly normal day, they were all eating breakfast as they watched and listened Albus going on and on about the dangers of being an auror, when a black owl dropped a note between the five. Rose opened it hastily. Once she finished reading she slung her bag on, "Come on!" She frowned as the four boys collected their belongings. Hugo, who had been doing his defense against the dark arts homework, took the longest. "Where are we going, Rose?" Fabian said sternly. She wheeled around and tilted her head to her left shoulder, "Where the letter said." She said shortly. They boys rolled their eyes as she led them down the rocky path to Hagrid's cabin.

"Ah, it's lovely ter see yer all again!" Hagrid's voice boomed from inside the cabin. Rose cautiously knocked on the door so quietly that Albus, who was standing next to her, couldn't hear it. "For heaven's sake." James knocked on the door loudly. They heard barking and the door was rattling. "Down Fang!"

Hagrid opened the door and beamed at the four. "Come in!" The five children shuffled awkwardly into the hut. But there in the hut were all their parents. Ginny and Lauren were holding burned cups which were supposed to have tea inside. Ron was stealing evil looks at Draco. Harry was glaring at Ron, who glared back. Draco stood out the most out of all the parents, unlike the others, he looked tired and ill.

"Why are you lot here?" Hugo asked casually, Ron looked stern. Harry glanced at Ron but began to explain. "You're not safe here. We need you all to come with us to London. Somewhere off the radar." Rose raised an eyebrow, she looked over her shoulder at the boys. They all shrugged.

Ron looked at his watch, "Oh, we should get going. Thanks Hagrid." Hagrid grinned, "Anytime."

All of them left the cabin and walked out of the Hogwarts grounds as they couldn't apprate in Hogwarts grounds. Once out of the gates, Draco noticed a flaw in the plan. "How do they know where to go?" Ron sneered, "What do you mean Malfoy?" He snarled. "They don't know about the headquarters. They don't know where to go." Harry agreed nodding his head, "You're right..........." He looked deep in thought, "I'll set up a portkey." He grinned. And with that he apparated.

They sat around for just under half an hour. When Harry came back, "Sorry for the wait, it took some doing." He walked over to a broken bicycle wheel. "Come on," He said impatiently, "We haven't got all day." All of then crowed around the broken wheel and each one put a hand on it. They waited expectantly when Harry said, "Ah, sorry. It's not this." He walked over to an empty bottle, "Here it is." He received death glares from everyone. "Well sorry!" They all shuffled over to the bottle and once again crowed around.

This time though it felt as though each had been pull forward with a hook. The five friends landed with a thud on the pavement. Rose yelped in pain and she scratched her forearms against the ground. While the parents arrived standing on their feet. Each one helped their own child up. They made their way into 12 Grimmauld place.

"Oh hello dears!" Called Mrs Weasley from the kitchen, Lilly was sat next to her grinning as she watched a pair of needles knit a crimson scarf. "Lilly?" James raised his eyebrows. "When did you get here?" Lilly looked angry and crossed her arms, "Two days ago. And none of you noticed." They all felt bruising feelings of guilt. Lauren glanced at Ginny, who nodded. "We'll show you your bedrooms. Come on." Ginny smiled. "Rosie, you follow me." Lauren hugged an arm around her daughter's shoulders. "In here." She pushed open a wooden door which revealed a dark, dusty room. "Oh!" She looked surprised, "Sorry....I forgot. Scourgify!" With a flick of her wand the room had been purged of all dust.

Hugo glanced at the girl's room and went back for a double take. He gaped. "Why do the girls get a nice room and we have to sleep in there?" He frowned. Ginny crossed her arms and that was enough for Hugo to go back to his room.

"It's so unfair!"

Albus glanced at Fabian and then at James. They both nodded.

"Shut up Hugo." The three of them chimed.
