"Connor!" Brad runs over as the boy falls limply to the floor. He got to his knees quickly glancing at the pale boy on the floor before pulling him gently onto his lap. "Oh my god! Connor!" Tears welled in brads eyes, as he ran his fingers through Connors blonde fringe. What are you doing?! Brad yells at himself in his head, pulling out his phone.
He dialled 999 and waited as the phone ring. "999, what's you emergency?" A female voice answers politely.
"M-my friends p-passed out I think," Brad stammers into the phone. This was the first time Brad needed to call 999. He remember he almost made his friend call it after he got his first phone because Brad had faked getting hurt to get a laugh.
"Alright, give us a name and address and someone will be there as soon as possible." Brad nodded, even though the lady on the other end couldn't see, and gave her the needed information. His voice wavered as he spoke, on the verge of breaking down into a nervous reck. On the other end the lady was extremely calm. Brad could never do that job. Having to take calls and listen to the situations people had gotten into.
"Alright, hold tight" the woman says softy and brad hangs up, grabbing Connors cold hand with his own and holding it tightly.
"It's gonna be alright" he whispered, picking the boy up and carrying him over to the couch as he waited for the first response to come. He had to convince himself that too.
When they did come, they had to carry Connor out on a stretcher to the ambulance. Brad rode in the back, still holding Connors hand as he looking at his beautiful face worriedly.
When they reached the hospital, brad was forced to wait in the waiting room against his wall. He paced for at least a half an hour as they ran tests till eventually he got tired and sat down, placing his face in his cupped hands.

A good hour later a doctor walked into the room with a sad smile on her face. "Brad Simpson? Right?" She asked in a smooth voice. Brad nods feebly looking up at her expectantly. "Do you know if Connor has any immediate family in the area?"
"No, his dad is at a conference for a couple weeks in London" Brad replies a little annoyed. Can I go see him? He says to himself impatiently. his hands where folded in his lap so he wouldn't pull his hair out. the waiting room was almost empty accept for a couple people here and there.
"His mother?" Brad looks a little shocked at the question, and he realizes for the first time he'd never heard anything about Connors mother. he did see some pictures of her in his house but nothing much. Connor never told him about her either.
"Umm, I'm not sure about her..." Brad says uncomfortably and the nurse nods understandingly.
"Well, we ran some test as he just passed out from stress, and he'll be okay." she says simply "he might need some time off but after a week he'll probably recover" brad was starting to get angry and restless. holy shit can i please see him?
"Is he awake?!" he ask frustrated, now sitting on the edge of his chair. He wanted to be there when Connor came to. he shouldn't be alone.
"Not yet" the nurse smiles "but you should be here when he does wake up, just this way" this causes brad to snort in a no really manner and gets out of his seat to follow the lady down the hospital hallway to cons room.

Connors eyes flutter open and he shoots up in his bed, feeling something warm across his right hand. his breath starts to quicken as he looks at the white wall in front of him.
"Hey, it's okay baby" brads voice fills his ears and he relaxes a little turning his head to face the boy. he was happy to hear brads voice. but he still had no idea where he was and why he was here.
"B-brad?" He murmurs, tears filling his eyes "Brad w-where are w-we?"
"The hospital" brads voice is calm as he pushes con back into a lying position, letting go of his hand only to pull the comforter around him.
"W-what! Why?!" The shock was audible in Connors voices as he try's to sit up again. Why the fuck am I in the hospital?! Panic courses through his veins as he glances frantically around the dull hospital room.
"Shhh" Brad runs his fingers through the other boys hair trying to sooth him. He pushes the boy down gently to a lying position."You passed out, the doctors say it was caused by stress, but your gonna be fine."
Connor sniffles, pulling his hands out from under the covers to whip the tears away from his eyes. He try's to relax a himself into the rough mattress of the bed.
"W-will you l-lay with me f-for a s-sec?" The he asks, making sure there was room for Brad on the single bed. A smile spreads across the brunette a face as Connor looks up at him hopefully.
"Of course I will" Brad nods and slips in beside Connor, placing a kiss on his temple. He then rapped his arms around the blond boy comfortingly. He could sort of feel him shaking under his grasp and Brad sighs, rubbing his arm soothingly.
"I-I don't know -what to d-do!" Connors voice wavers as tears start to spill from his eyes again. He wears a look of distress as if his dad had walked out permanently. If this is him when his dad leaves for a couple of weeks, what would it be like forever?! The though sent shivers up brads spine.
"What do you mean?" Brad asks quietly, keeping his voice calm so he wouldn't upset the fragile boy anymore.
"M-my dads gone and-d he always h-helped me when I-I was going-g crazy and-"
"Shhh" Brad says again, putting his finger across Connors lips to silence him. "You have me this time, and I won't let anything happen to you"
A small smile plays on Connors lips as he snuggles up to brad comfortably, closing his eyes. "T-thank you" he whispers into brads chest, his shaking had died down. Now the two boys lay there, together.
